I NEED!! LOL teaching my baby runnings properly lol Ella has a nice natural running and amber is slowly getting there but would love a decent DVD How old are your guys? I have tried once or twice to start but it wasn't successful (I was a bit useless) :/ Ella the Lowchen is 2 1/2 and amber the Lakeland is 11mths.. I did teach my border but just couldn't get constancy.. I should find my video of that lol!! for a few months there it kicked in and he had them beautifully.. -
We're at 6 weeks :D :D getting excited and our girl is lovely and fat lmao and has a waddle bout her
-
at 8 weeks I certainly wouldn't leave a small breed outside on their own for huge periods unless they had company of a larger dog who could be trusted we were lucky enough when we got Amber at 10 weeks that we had Mumma Xanthe the Afghan to keep her safe, xanthe is like the surrogate mum for all our little kids and she takes them under her wing keeping them warm and looking after them, and we also hd bonehead Den who was pack leader and kept control and was great entertainment ...Amber Has grown up great and OH and I worked for 8+ hrs a day which clearly makes us horrible people but she had shelter and safety in her pack. Now Den is gone our little kids spend a good chunk of the day inside, they have their own room and they all have crates, they're all happy to spend hours at a time asleep in their crates. to the OP you need to do what works for you but as your pup gets older there's no reason they can't spend a few hrs here and there outside, doesn't make you a bad mum.. everyone has different ways of raising a puppy and you just have to figure out what's best for your lifestyle. Btw in relation to the PP 40 our male Lowchen lives in his no problem.where as our girl has a wire crate, each to their own

same way you'd keep any dog amused we had all 3 bitches here come in within a week of each other... bones were great amusements as was loose treats in a water bottle which they had to work to get them out, new toys particularly interactive ones that squeaked they got hours out of driving us insane.. apart from that excesice in the backyard, plenty of games with us and crate rest, ours all curl up and switch off in the crates.. why not teach crate games and other interesting games and tricks.. it's really not that hard it's more about being vigilante about where you go and other dogs around. in our case it was easier to crate our boy and keep him happy and let the girls have their usual roam

we get it through groomers paradise.. it's pricey (I just about killed Darkrai when I saw the bill) but very much worth it!

Woooo yay Blitza!! I'm feeling your excitement.. for any who don't know I'm the OH of the Darkrai household congrats to everyone with babies on the way.. our girl is getting Lovely and round.. 6 weeks on Saturday and eating like a pig, so far tonight she's had her bikkie and tin mix more bikkies and yoghurt which is what everyone else had for dinner she also has a grazing bowl up which she's scoffed half of lol.. oh and she stole part of OHs dinner, part of my pull apart and has then decided that she wanted to clean out my smoothie cup.. I think we're gonna have chubba bubbahs Attached is the scan photo :D can't believe we could see the jelly beans wiggling and moving.. taking after their crazy mummy already!!
-
LOL can't say bahahaha I will once they are born.. just gotta continue to be cryptic for the next few weeks.. but all will be revealed!
-
well it's all confirmed :D the bitch is pregnant with anywhere from 4-6 pups :D 4 weeks to go till more little cuties are in the world :) lucky me I get to be round the bubbahs from day 1 so looking forward to it!

sorry Becks been talking to OH about it to make sure I get the right info. it works off of coat genetics supposedly so if you have a dog with a harsh coat who was born soft good chance is it'll go back to soft. this is what's happening with Leo who was a real tan color as a baby it's coming back in to him where as before it was a white/ dirty white.. amber it's brought her furnishings in thick and pusher then what they were before and her topline is tough as its supposed to be... either way were happy with the results
-
are they willing to travel?? we live down near wyong/tuggerah way OH works in a salon at tuggerah.. pm me for more info :)
-
we are strictly a pangenics house here.. we wash 3 very different breeds in it and they all come out stunning.. the trick of this stuff is it works off the dogs natural oils to restore the coat.. I didn't believe it until we used it on Leo who used to have little faded tan markings and now they are coming back in full glorious colour!! his black is blacker and the silver is stronger too! like I said we swear by it

waiting patiently... Very Patiently, not saying much until I know more :) lol it hasn't hit the ground yet so just waiting...

-
May have my own rising star for 2013 :D just waiting patiently.. be my first show dog from scratch that's MINE lmao.. sharing amber is not the same
-
Im not even sure if our Lakie can swim LOL thinking that we may travel down and give her a go as shes the only dog of ours who could have a go!!
-
everyone does it differently I know of a breeder who lives by herself not sure if she has too many visitors but we were talking and she raises her pups infront of the TV in the main area.of the house so they can see and hear everything. my OH and I have talked about how we would raise a litter as its just us in a quiet house and normally we both work full time, our plan is a CD of sounds played so different things that pups may not get to hear in this time with us like storms. we also have plans to let the neices and nephews come visit and take the pups out once they are old enough to see the world.. just little things like that. I think being raised outside isn't an issue providing the pups still get to be exposed to and hear the everyday noises.

2nd this.. the most hair we ever find is when amber is hand stripped out and that's the hair we get out of her
-
Can't find him.. there's a sandimorn litter who are about a month older then ambers litter. the one who I'm pretty sure you thinking of has been shown down here on occasion but resides In OLD.. dunno but ambers breeder also recently titled one of her bitches as well so it's celebrations on our end for everyone!!!
-
Thanks everyone.. special mention to Doler OH Darkrai for the work he put in as well!! He does all the grooming prep and pre show prep and taught me the basics of hand stripping and ring prep!!
-
:) it all got sent away yesterday but miss Amber got her Champion title on the 21st just shy of turning 11 months old!!! This makes her according to dol point score the youngest in NSW and I'm pretty sure the first lakeland in NSW this year as well :) We're over the moon with this girl who was also the first lakie to achieve her EIC title at just 6 months! 4 baby puppy in groups And 3 puppy in groups. Not bad for our first lakeland and my first dog that I've helped train and show from day dot. What's next? Agility and more earth dogging and more showing!
