GG: LOVE my boys leads.. Best purchase ever still holding up strong even under their caziness and they still look good... the white on them is a little greyish hahaha but what do you expect they get alot of use.. The tugs have held up strong too under the pull of a Greyhound, Cavvy and Border all at the same time... :D Yay Den! our 20th Q and TITLE so Denver is now Denver AD JDX GD SD Yay my boof We also mananged a messy Q and 3rd in ADX I'm shocked that we actually got it lol we were all over the shop.. so that was Q 21 Tomorrow I have owned this lovely boy a whole year it has been an interesting ones of ups and downs but I'm so proud of him Jock had a brilliant night for jock too He got another SDX Q so next one is title yay Chops! He also had a great Open round pity about his mother though lol and his Excellent round was another great one but no Q he was much better tonight no barking or crazies just nice running and confidence and all 12 weave poles lol! Can't ask for much more ;)

I have seen a number of Really nice Sheltie and Sheltie X's including my own run by younger people but I honestly wouldn't recommend them for a young handler.. I have seen 2 types 1.Nervy, shy not so happy little dogs 2. Outgoing, crazy, insane, barkers lol They are nice dogs But unless your daughter is prepared to deff go the hard yards I would be looking elsewhere. A young Girl (14) Who I trial with and occasionally instruct runs a little Cavalier one from the right lines culd be quiet a nice dog, this one believes he is a rough and tough lab He is a very forgiving dog and solely goes out to please her and he has a blast :D

It's not bad to train with treats alot of us do it.. Things like trick training often work the dogs mind simple things like shake, roll over, beg are all examples.. Something else you may like to look into is getting simple things like children's play tunnel and teaching them to run through it or getting them to jump through a hoop its all getting the dogs to use their brains.. A clicker is a great way for positive training.. I'm sure someone here can reccommend a link to get you started.. Another option is looking into getting your dogs into a sport be it flyball or obedience or agility that will always keep you busy because there are little things that you can train at home to help you get better at it and alot of execrsices you can do without fancy equipment

I get to pick up mine on Tuesday Dispite everyones Blah reviews I got a Nikon D3000 I have done alot of work on Nikons and LOVE them just never owned one of my own and after talking to a number of people involved in photography I decided a Nikon was the best way to go and I got a really nice deal on the D3000 Can't wait to get it :champagne: veeeeeerrrry jealous of all you with your cameras right now

Well this is just me but i personally think everyone should be trained by vickie some of the lessons i got from you have come in handy something shocking lol and i can always remember a skill or idea that i have picked up on from my time with you and stick it into practice. . Its always so nice when you see the result of hard work. . I know even from just offering advice to people and seeing it pay off has been awesome and really made my day

:D We had a rather enjoyable day at Jimboomba.. Den got his first ADX Q and 5th and Jock got Q and 6th which is a first of Den beating jock usually its the opposite way.. Jock had a brilliant ADO run except for our friend the see-saw grrrrr.. cost us a Q.. Den had a Fab first masters jumping round pity his mother can't handle and sent him over the wrong bar... good boy though lotsa speed and happiness :p good day allround for us!

What an awesome day we had at our Agility comp (Brisbane Obed Club) One of the best in a long time Jock was a NUTT and I think a number of people can vouch for me when I say that he was off the wall lol but its nice having my sheltie back who wants to run Denver had another awesome day we are really starting to connect.. We somehow got a Q & 4th in Open Agility which is our Very first (and probably last) Open Agility Q and we also Got our Final elusive JDX Q giving us our TITLE I'm so proud of this monster 2 1/2 years old and in masters jumping wooooo!! this has made my year So presenting Denver AD JDX GD Oooh and thanks to Staffylover81 for letting me run her lovely Girl Saxon in masters jumping she is a Blast to run! and Congrats to her on her awesome day

I need to start challenging myself with my goals.. We have acheived all of those Damn Goals.. right challenge.. Denver: *Gain 2 ADX passes *Gain 1 JDM Pass *Finish SD Title *Enter a DWD comp (still to be decided lol that may be a 2011 goal) Jock: *To Finish SDX Title (we need 3 more Qs) *To Finish ADX Title (2 more Qs)

Well considering the time difference between Jock and Den and the Size Difference too it's made it a real eye opener as to my handling skills and timing and turns Den is basically a more corrected version of Jock meaning I didn't focus on jocks ability to work close and far from me... Den has been taught both Independance .. We're still gaining it but already because of this Den is far more independant.. No babysitting the weaves still working on contacts I never run these two the same even if it could be Done I wouldn't there are similar cues but each dog has their own interprtation of those cues. I say to Jock contact and his interpretation of it is "oooooh oooh bum shuffle to the bottom or SUPERDOG" Den takes it as "steady pace must touch it.." I have taught them both a 2o2o and yet I never get one lmao.. I'm far too lenient. Both dogs have really different committment points as well and I'm not going to change it as they commit when they are confident and I think they feel my confidence in them where as If I'd try and make them commit elsewhere It shuts them down as its not their "natural" point. I have been working with Den on Shortening his takeoff distance as he literally flies from a good two body lengths back But I have found it makes him less confident. Jock on the other hand will walk right up to a bar before jumping it some days. I guess alot of my handling comes down to the significant size difference in the dogs cos for every1 den stride jock takes 3 or 4... Hmmmm... I have food for thought here.. Gonna watch a few vids and see what my handling is like on the same course lol and I have no clue if any of that made sense lol

Well not our best Day Agility wise... Lol but still some interesting runs... Jock Decided it'd be fun to injure himself so we pulled out.. Lol I broke my novice agility dog one last run in AD cos I didnt move out of it... Complete and utter fail due to our friend the Chute.. :D Ever since he got stuck at QAJDC hes hated them.. Awesome open round! 1 - 2 faults.. Made the distance with so much confidence it was sacry and did 10/12 weaves RIGHT SIDE and Due to a Handling fumble and a lazy border :D NQ and 3rd in JDX.. Had a GREAT lead out (which I'm now gonna do more of) and some great calls.. Just overtime though It was great meeting a few other Dolers.. Met Huski at the obed trial in the morning and the talented Daisy.. They're gonna go far ;) Triple jumpers Next weekend.. Bring on the JDX Den 1 more to go lol

Den is another Lover of the PTB tugs.. the fluffy ones are his fav he wont tug anything else unless its his tug lead and thats only if prompted.. The tugs with Faux fur are his fav!

Okk ;) I'm here hahahaha Well QLD state Titles this weekend has been an event to remember I'll break it down Jock Q and 10th in the State in Excellent Snooker QLD STATE CHAMPION in Novice Pairs and SPD TITLE I'm so thrilled with that esp being my old boy! We had some other good runs but nothing too exciting... This Trial was all about Denver lol Q Title and 7th in The State for Novice Gamblers Q and 1st Novice Agility Heat one Q and runner Up Heat 2 Excellent Jumping Q and 1st and TITLE Novice Agility Heat 2 Ranked 4th In State Excellent Jumping & 2010 QLD State Champion Novice Agility we've had a fantastic weekend and I am just thrilled with Dens Runs.. Video coming soon lol But we're all exhausted here congrats to everyone else though on their brags
