  8. I thought of using those but I just mean that company in general is super cheap to get joins through, Im still using up the last box I brought!
  9. Sheena if you want a good CHEAP Place to get PVC Joins from google Sunshower they are an irrigation company in VIC and I am getting joins for next to nothing, if you arent in a rush to have them then and there they are awesome
  10. Well one Very wet Trial but we had a great time Qs alround for both my boys, Jock was a little put off by the judge in her rain gear and the rain itself but managed a Q and 1st in Elementary Agility, Q and 2nd in Starters jumping the other runs were great we just had a few old dog moments, he's pretty much Deaf now and is still a brat even at 11 lol... Den just had the one round and he had a blast he was a little slow but hey we got what we came for which was another games card.. hoping to get our games title sometime in the future
  11. I think you were a bit ripped Smisch, you definately should have picked up at least 3rd in the Sweepies !!! hahahaha naah we walked out there with no expectations cos hes looking crappy next to the pic on my Sig.. I didnt think we'd be doing many more shows so I havent been keeping him as in shape and clean cut as I usually would... just Beaudesert left to go and then that'll be it for him unless anymore neuters come up between now and Xmas.. BTW congrats on your win I didnt even see it on FB you must be thrilled I'll be there cheering you on on Sat!!!
  12. Well no actual brags except that we had a fantastic day at EKKA showing today, Banjo who hasnt been into a ring since May and looked like a dogs brekkie so to speak showed really well in the desexed sweepies and I just had fun.. got a good 2nd look from the judge and the exhibitor standing next to me and I thoight that he was gonna give it to me but hey it was just a good day Funny moment of the day the announcer was telling the crowd about the class and she was like now these dogs here normally range from about 6 - 10 yrs.. I get up the top and the judge goes; "how old is this dog" and I reply "3" lmao
  13. Our Day yesterday at EKKA Was thrilled with Den and his enthusiasm and Confidence in such a big environment but he LOVES IT :D Only the One Q which is our biggest one yet our ADO TITLE!!! we had a cheer squad on the outside hehehe which made it extra special for us!! 6 years of trialling and I never imagined ever earning an open title cos I SUCK at distance training... We have been working the weave poles again cos boof hasnt been as good in a ring but he nailed them all 3 runs.. the miss in JDO was bad timing on my account was supposed to cross between 4 and 5 whoops!! But we had a blast and cant wait to do it again
  14. Big ones the spacing I think is 55cm which is closer to ANKC standard of 600
  15. I myself believe that if your dog can weave it should be able to weave any spacing of poles it shows it understands the concept of what it means to weave.. I think that one of the top buy sets is a 55mm spacing which is correct for ADAA agility spacing Den does both ADAA and ANKC trials so swaps back and forward for spacing and he does fine... Good luck Seita and if you want any help give us a shout out Im thinking of doing a weaving refresher before we head of to grandprix so will be starting 2x2s AGAIN lol
  16. Awww thanks for the Video of Den If I can get you to email me the original footage sometime! I would LOVE it for his 2yr adoption vid!!
  17. Theres a DOLer Vickie who started me out on my agility path and I have always looked up to her and will continue to as she is always even 900km away getting me to raise my bar just by seeing the work she is doing with her dogs In the show worlde I have two DOLers leading me astray Josuki and Darkrai who are a support system as well as good fun and occasionally teach me something along the way lmao!!
  18. Well I am super proud of this round The Velcro dog who was sending like a pro not wrapping and turning as tight as he can but still Yay Den.. We also managed our first ever JDO Q and 4th :D go my Boof!!
  19. Congrats to everyone on the awesome results... Well its been awhile since we've checked in here breif update Den and I have started herding recently and he LOVES it so we are going to start training for herding titles for next yr sometime which is an exciting thing for us We have also been doing ADAA agility which has imporved his confidence something shocking and has made it fun for us again to run.. so far he has earned his BAAD and his AAD title and is well on the way for his SAAD title too which is awesome We had out first ANKC trial yesterday for the first time since March and Den ran really well, it was his mummy that stuffed him around as neither my head or heart was in it yesterday so my handling was off but it was deff some of the better handling I have done in a while I think running lower level courses in ADAA comps has helped me improve upon my handling as their courses are a much different style too. We got just the one Q which was a BIG one for us in Open Agility only 2 dogs in the whole Trial Q'ed and first place beat us by 2.5 sec which isnt too bad for us, Den was a little slow starting out and took a few slips and slides, one more for our ADO :D never thought I would ever get an Open title with anyone, distance training has never been my strong suit...
  20. Providing nothing is on Im there we have started herding and LOVE it and Dens taken to it like a duck to water we're now hopefully doing semi regular training so we can do our HIC and HT and PT late yr/ early 2012 Sounds like a great plan will put the word out at herding school
  21. Kilcoy show last month held classes 18 and 18A but then refused to issue Neuter Challenge certificates. Now there is an issue for fair trading or something. I would getting the concerned parties to take it further. Yeah I think smisch is taking it further with the CCCQ as she had her Lab entered. My neuter was entered but I did not end up showing him as he dropped his coat the week before. If I had've shown him and been refused a Neuter Challenge certificate, I would be requesting a refund on my entry fee. ETA: My boy ended up making his Neuter debut in Grafton last weekend, and now has some points towards his N Ch Whether I actually finish him or not is another issue but it was fun to see him back in the ring enjoying himself. I am looking to take it further I just dont really know where to start ... I know that a kind DOLer has listed the ANKC rule book on this topic which I will be referencing but apart from that Im stumped, I already have my own issues with CCCQ so being very careful how I man this response but any help appreciated... I fully plan on going over the border as much as I can as I love the whole concept and Im learning alot and just having some fun with Banjo who was merely backyarded before I had him, itll be sad to see him go but hoping this'll encourage his family to do more with him as he has great potential to do just about anything if they put the effort in
  22. Well I have Lab now sitting on 42 points Well thats if I can organise the points from Kilcoy... We had a FANTASTIC weekend at Grafton Show pics are coming lol 6 neuter of breeds and 1 neuter in group we were up against an Aus and NZ champ in groups so that was such an honour to be picked didnt get anything in specials lol but Banjo showed so well for me and Im just so proud of us both, I really feel as though we have come a long way since we started this whole dream of showing! Thursday - Sat we had 2 other neuters in our Group ( a Toller and a Logatto) and Sunday we had a Viszla join our group too... There was atleast one neuter dog represented in each group which was fantastic to see Such a great expierence and just plain fun!
  23. Hi hi all well Darkrai and I are back on our way to the sunshine state I so didn't wanna go... Well got 6 neuter of breeds and neuter in group on Saturday morning was over the moon with that...
