  1. Bump!!! well I didnt expect it to happen but both my kids have pairs partners =) atm Im currently in the middle of building a dog walk for some training.. very excited to get it finished hehehehehe.. Anyone tell me of any reasonably in expensive agility classes in sydney during the day.. Im off work for a little bit so thinking Ill use my time wisely but would prefer to go in the day so I dont take up time of those who are working
  2. Lol I taught her "watch me" about 15 minutes before I hit the ring with her in an effort to keep her nose off the ground it worked lol
  3. Our dogs are our current kids but we treat them like dogs lol they sleep outside they eat dog food but we spoil them in terms of making sure they get nice treats like chicken wings and occasionally mince if we get some on clearance and we make our own dog treats to cut cost and they prefer them to the store stuff and we know whats exactly in it and its better for them then the store stuff. I also spoil them in terms of that they all have their own bed and bowl and plenty of toys and Im forever buying new ones because they enjoy them and you'll often see them chasing each other round the yard with the toys.. They are my current kids lol we call them "the kids" and love them like so but they are not a replacement when the time comes we will love a human child more so then the dogs. but hey you only get out with the dogs what you put in and giving them the extra attention and a comfy happy life means they are happy easy going dogs and they rarely demand any extra attention as they are content..
  4. Ours have the back yard well majority of it as we have fenced off a portion, but we also have a dog run that we will confine them to if needed but for the most part they roam free. if we had a house with tiles I'd be fencing off an inside section for them as I prefer them inside where I know they are safe
  5. Just thought Id share a recent photo of our Rising star, Miss Amber is doing well with 3 baby puppy in groups.. very pleased with this cheeky money she is a devil who drives me up the wall but couldnt be without her!!
  6. Dont let the cuteness fool you lamo I walked downstairs this morning to have her HANGING off my pants cos she merely wanted attention. we currently have another Lakie here atm and the two of them have teamed up to terrorise the other 3 breeds of the house.. my poor border collie who rules the roost here is feeling very uncertain of himself lol! All good she makes up for devilness in intelligence, Im starting to foundation work her atm for agility she is such a keen little bunny..
  7. hehehehe we (Darkrai and myself) have been blessed with a Lakie soul in our lives she'll be 5 months on the 26th,our little show devil.. Miss Amber or Fish as we call her why fish do you ask hahaha if shes inside and you use the bathroom as soon as she hears a toilet flush she is in the bathroom checking out the loo.. our water bowls and buckets are not safe as she loves to play in them.. she is a little fish.. she is very chatty you head outside and she will bark and sook at you until you acknowledge her presence..
  8. To earn a MACH you have to earn so many what they call QQ's - I have no idea what exactly constitutes a double Q. In Aus we have the old Agility Champion (Ag Ch) which was 10 x 1sts and 10 x placings in Agility and Jumping respectively. Now we have the new Ag Ch (height) which means that every height competes against itself for points. 1st in your height being 25 points, 2nd being 20 and 3rd being 15, with 10 points for a pass. You need 500 points in each Agility and Jumping to qualify. Each new Agility Champion also has their height noted - so Ag Ch (500). The new one is an attempt to make it fair for the steady but consistent dogs who rarely win but get plenty of passes, as well as the dogs in other height categories other than the 500 dogs. Unfortunately it's now become a bit lopsided when we have a lot of 500 dogs and a small handful of other height categories. It's made it much harder for the 500 dogs to earn their Ag Ch, but far easier for the other height categories. Edited to add: Out of curiosity I took a look at the MACH qually - to me it sounds like qualifying in Masters Agility and Masters Jumping at the same trial would be a QQ, and you need 20 of them for a MACH, plus 750 points which you earn for being under course time (1 point per 1 second under SCT). Yep a QQ is a double Q one in MXJ and one in MX back to back at a comp... I have alot of friends competing over in the usa and all they ever talk about is the QQs as they need them for just about any major event like nationals or world team trials this assures that only the best of the best compete and as their nation is so much bigger would cut on numbers...
  9. Ahhhhh we were in the ring with you well the OH was anyway with the little Lakie :) congrats on your win!! she is a cutie!! Amber got another 2 x baby in groups this past weekend brining our total to 3 for 3 shows!! just wish her legs would start growing hair lol!!! Next show for us is Camden Ag so hoping we can do well in the 'big smoke' lol.. Oh I was admiring your little one in sweepies :D such a cutie and a little pro already! Congrats on your groups!!! I have to admit sometimes I wish my breed was hand stacked or whatever you call it. The bubs have a tough time holding their concentration on the free stack long enough for the judge to make their decision. Each week though, Tempe can hold it for just a little bit longer........I could I guess hold her to encourage her to maintain the position for the whole time, but then she wont learn how to free stack as quickly. She's a Devil lol OH (Darkrai) does all the work with her I just love her and will teach her agility and everything else once shes old enough lol.. Elise + Hudson congrats, your boy is beautiful... it must be awesome to be doing so well :)

  11. First off congrats on your JDM with Denver! Awesome result!! I am curious though, why did you enter Ella in her first trial when she has never done a broad or full sized dog walk? Just curious :) Congrats again though :D We dont have access to them. There are 3 clubs around here one who you need to do obedience to do their agility one which we attend that has a small amount of equipment (jumps, tunnels and weaves) its a social class which we really enjoy and another which is 45min away and trains on a night that I cant make it We've got an a-frame and a see-saw here both of which she has had alot of exposure and training on to and we also have a plank which I have taught her some stuff on but nothing too exciting.. Hoping to build a broad jump once I have the time and tools lol.. I havent focused too much on contacts just the concept of actually being on them.. she gives a nice a-frame and the see-saw is about 75% I havent trained them excessively yet as shes still young and I want to keep it fun.. no drills or anything we will be getting a little more intensive in the nationals lead up. This trial was more for me to see where we needed to go and if she was able to focus outside of training and home as shes only ever been in a show ring.. I knew she was able to pull off a short course like novice jumping as she does it at training and home.. basically going down a similar route to Denver who started trialling in jumping only and once I was settled with his contacts and weaves then entered him in agility.. it seemed to pay off..
  12. WOOOOOO!!! feels good to be able to post in here first brag is Denver JDM :D Im so proud of him he's my first masters titled dog big thing for me.. Jock got too old before we could gain his we also managed a very awesome excellent gamblers pass and 1st place all height.. Ive never known him to move so fast lol we had a 2 strided aframe in the gamble.. I was stoked all round as we never place high in games Ella had her first trial too :) she had a great time.. her first JD run was NQ and 1st place in the 300s as she stepped on the borad jump but she had never seen one before but she was so fast and had a great time :D her gamblers run was just an exposure session to equipment and we had fun she did a great aframe and had fun on a full sized dog walk for the first time..but she was just so happy and enthusiastic and nothing phased her! Our final JD round we had some practice on a practice broad jump and she flew round the tyre threw her off as it wasnt set straigh on so she ran around it but she cleared the broad and zoomed round following ques and calls so Im beyond thrilled with her!! hoping to see some big things from her!! and a non-sporting related brag our little Lakeland Girl got 2 x Baby in groups this weekend too :D Busy weekend from the Smisch & Darkrai household
  13. Wooooo!! Amber the Lakeland got Baby in group :D first show out!! So excited!!! A sign of good things to come!!
  14. Lol were at medowie now :) glorious day!!! Glad we only did one day!
  15. Well the Lowchen can weave :D so were in full swing!!!!!!!! If it ever stops raining enough to attend a comp! Ap- its terrifying and exciting but we look forward to finally meeting you considering we didn't catch up when I was over that way Eagerly counting down the days :) gotta order some new crates but were good to go.. Praying to god that the little lowchen doesn't come into season .. Well be devistated if she does.. And can't stop this cycle as we are planning on breeding her in the near future.. Fingers crossed :)
  16. Just get your email from the e-profromancedogs and forward it on to them and ask for a pay pal request.. I have had a few issues with the system but this always works :)
  17. Awesome will drop you a MSG on Facebook.. Anything would work we also need to loose about 3kg Dens almost 17kg o.O which is about 4 kg heavier then he was at gp. Vet said he was ok and has a nice shape but I think the extra off will help :)
  18. Our lovely little devil :) so much spunk and personality to give!!!! Im not getting a rising star this time round, waiting patiently as I can for my turn
  19. Well we have good news :) Dens toe has fully healed and the vet is satisfied that there's nothing causing issue in his feet.. His hips are solid at this stage the only issue is there appears to be the start of arthritis in both of his back knees which could be flaring with intensity so to help him he's on medication to give him a boost he also had a chiro session which his spine was out so he's feeling better in that sense and we also has some laser accupuncture which was interesting lol.. We head back in 2 weeks so we can see how he progresses.. But I'm a happy camper that he's not finding anything obvious! If the lameness returns we will reassess :) but still over the moon!! Yay
  20. Well he's booked in for Thursday night :) only a consult but got the vet report from the original incident and getting the original X-rays eventually.. Fingers crossed for a good outcome lol
  21. Good luck. Hope Den is OK. :) Me too hoping he'll have answers as I said its not bothering him now as in there's no sign of the injury and hasn't been for a while but I just wanna sort the rest out cos hes not in the best of shape ATM.. T
  22. Well spoke to a few people today at class and going to see if we can book in to see Keith Phillips who's been recommended to me by my instructor and a number of others at the class and go from there..
  23. :) counting down the days.. Found a pairs partner which means we're jumping 400 woooooo!!!! Only issue I have found with e-performance dogs is it enters me but I haven't paid for part of my entry so I have to email off for a PayPal request touch annoying but it gets there in the end
  24. Fantastic Ill have to get him up to the dog pool or find a flat beach area for him it's all very surfy here.. :) once again a haul for the pool but worth it!
