Stride regulators use muscel memory where as the box teaches the dog to think about their footwork as they actually have to place their feet in the box to gain reward.. The dogs have to give you a behavior to achieve reward where as the stride regulator just teaches the dog to adjust their stride length. Does that make sense... I can't explain it too well lol

I fade it out through moving it slowly away so it's still there for him to go through. By then add equipment to it and remove the hoop so den is driving to the next piece of equipment.. Lik I said we haven't fully finished training it or working it as its a slow process but we may finish it one day lol
-
I am teaching den slowly in my own time using a hoop at the bottom, he drives on through it.. I like this better as I have taught him 2o2o and so he understands the concept so much more of you go to the bottom of the aframe... It's a long slow process

Deff second opinion. Pm mason_gibbs I think it is I'm pretty sure she was just dealing with an ortho specialist

I crate train everyone here as I want the ability to keep control. I like being able to separate my dogs in situations. Like last night we had the niece and nephew here and as we have a dog who is unfamiliar with kids popped her in her crate and off we went no issues :) ATM I have 3 kids chilling out in crates to keep them quiet and settled

Im forever letting people pat and interact with my dogs as its part of why we are there.. Representing our breed, and the show world. If I have them all prepared ill let people pat them in a spot that's easy to fix and I always carry a comb on me when I'm near the ring as people always stop to say hi lol.. What's the point of being somewhere like this if your dog ain't gonna represent their breed if your truly passionate youd take up the opportunity to display your breed as much as possible Lol last year I did sweepies day at EKKA and I had the lab out playing fetch and running up and down our stall section letting him be social lol and mind you this was after I had groomed and chalked him to high heavens lol!! But so many parents were greatful as all their kids wanted to do was pat a dog lol!

I like knowing who I'm under as I know there will be some judges who simply don't like me or the dog.. I have had judges who wouldn't even let us all in the ring before deciding ther choice in group line ups and some who prefer a different style of dog to mine.. I'm not prepared to waste $$ on the judges who won't give us the time of day or if I can prepredict the results

We have had a pup who we suspected at a young age had a knee issue. I took the pup to my vet who is a qualified chiro he has worked wonders with my boy who has had issues in his alignment as he is a strangely built bc and agility sometimes gets the better of him lmao. The vet had a feel and a good look at both her knees and said that one is slightly weaker then the other but it could have been due to growth as she was only young or it's simply underdeveloped basically a numbe of things.. We were expecting the worst of LP. We were given advice of swimming to strengthen the muscel and make sure that she was getting plenty of the good stuff to ensure good growth.. Never has an issue after and she's been an amazing little dog So don't think the worst until you've exhausted all avenues it could merely be muscular if there is even anything.. a good vet is worth their weight in gold, we love ours and so do our dogs But remember whatever it is and if it requires surgery or not she is your pet, if you merely got her for breeding then I'd be handing her back..all of our dogs here compete and show but first and foremost are our pets and we let them be dogs if they don't wanna do it that's fine. If they are totally injured and can't do what they do that's fine as well as we still love them.. Just in the midst of your stress and anxiety remember that! You love your girl Good luck

We never paid one and we have mutiple dogs.. Well when we looked around we applied for a house and I wrote a simple cover letter explaining our situation with dogs as we show and trial and how our dogs went to work on occasion with the OH and how they slept outside ect.. I offered to the owners a bond of up to two weeks rent to show them that we were committed and serious. They didn't take it but the offer was there.. I wouldn't bother going into stuff about toilet training and stuff as tbh they don't care, most places state dogs must be kept outside but you still have to carpet clean and pest spray the place. We let the smaller ones inside to sleep in their crates and for meals in the kitchen but that's it. Pet friendly rentals are like gold if you can find good owners you are set ours just don't seem to give a toss we really take care of their property and in return we have heard boo all from them..

there should be clips at the bottom. no one did double coated breeds. naaah theer are people constantly moving around the area they have to work in is really small and there are judges constantly on the move In the terrier and gundog class which was the AM session there was a schnauzer, 2 lakies, a welshie and a wire foxie and an american cocker PM session which was breed scissoring and freestyle being run at the same time there was a bichon or 2, a poodle, 2 bedlingtons and a few poodle Xs I guess it just depends on what people want to do. Like we were looking at getting my sheltie down for a groom but he was too old for the comp sadly =( I think as well its easier to make certain breeds look better as your supposed to make a significant difference to the coat and most of those breeds its easier then your bcs and stuff that there isnt as much fancy work to do.. jmho

Miss moo as far as I know there are different rules for each class as to what you can and can't use, like hand strip you can't use clippers or you have time deducted, the time is worked out by what skill your doing and how big the dog is. Like for instance Darkrai had 2 hours to handstrip micah as she was 14inches and under if she was bigger then 16inches he would have had 2.25hrs Most of these people own their own salon or work in a salon but anyone who registers to be a member of PIAA can do a groom, not 100% sure on that though as everyone there yesterday was a groomer or a learning groomer.. Theres different qualifications as to what class your in.. Next comp Darkrai will be in Open as he has won at novice level.. Lol I'm considering learning how to do my own dog and doing a comp.. Hehehehe I can do a gooooood lowchen well show prep anyway lol!! I got too lazy today to travel back to syd so I'm now watching the poodles from the comfort of my bed! 10:30 start they should be amazing.. Then it's groomers best in show :D where the. Best in group winners of each class go for best in show and the winer of that takes $1000 So there will be the best terrier, best Gundog, best breed scissor, best freestyle and best poodle.. I've been trying to with but not much happening? Its up and running now.. they're all scissoring poodles atm.
