Lol I had the opposite issue with Den JUST measured in as a 500 dog lol! And then had judges even one who measured him question that he was too small for 500... Remeasure AGAIN lol nope still a 500!
-
Suits that are bordering on too small and a little too short!! Ladies we don't wanna see what you had for breakfast lol!

Intermediate is my say, think of it like everyday is a new show at a regular show you would have her in intermediate. LOL you just made me remember we had the lowchen in an Ag. Show the day before she turned 18months put her on the table and the judge asked me how old... 17months LMAO..

You and me both. Denver is doing really well getting some enthusiasm out of him and hoping it means he will run well for me :) Ella shes having enthusiasm in spurts, she wants to play but then goes ehhhhh I'm over this lol! So nationals will be interesting to see what she does If everything goes to plan nationals will be dens final comp and hell be heading back up to my parents for a life of retirement. Sadly I don't get to see the agility ring as much as the show ring these days and being in suburbia has taken it's toll on him plus the reoccurring injury that decides to show its face every now and again it's not worth it. He's everyone's very much loved family dog and they miss him lots Though having said that, there's a few promising prospects for future agility and show baby.. Got a few options that have been offered so I guess we will just wait and see.. Bring on nationals

Homeless People In The City With Dogs
smisch replied to samoyedman's topic in General Dog Discussion
I don't think it's our position to judge weather or not these people are capable to care for their dogs or not but instead to provide them with the help and resources so they ARE ABLE to care for them. -

Well at this stage I'm in contact with dogmad and were going from there The friend is now in 2 mind but I'm hoping to sit down and talk to her and point out the benefits of possibly rehoming. At this stage I think it's the best for everyone in her house and the dog. The thought of not having the dog around is getting to be a little upsetting which is to be expected but im thinking for the dog not the person as she has plenty of access to 4 legged wagging tails without the responsibility and the extra stress. Sounds nasty but sometimes tough love is needed Basically OH and I are doing everything we can to help And get everyone to a happy place :) Jed if everything falls through I will go to Cav rescue but right now I'm
-
Who knows I'm just trying to be a friend and help make things easier but gosh I get frustrated as the dog hasn't done anything. I have pm'ed dogmad so we will see what comes of it :) As far as me taking him ontop of the 4 in my siggy we have another Lakeland ATM who is taking up all the time and another dog may push the neighbors over the edge as its on a tether ATM as our dogs are supposedly non stop barking (an entirely different story all together)

Gotta vent, a friend has a cavvy possibly x not desexed or anything, a few months ago was looking for a friend for him and oh and I directed her to breeders as she wanted another cav and was kinda annoyed that she may have had a x breed. We told her shed be paying more then $500 for a pedigree but it's worth it and explained the benefits but also said you should get your other dog desexed first. Dog never got desexed.. Friend has since gone and gotten herself pregnant and is now wanting to get rid of the dog as all he does is whine and bark at the back door and she can't bring herself to train him and he poops and pees everywhere and all this jazz and just wants a good home for him *groan* Now when I say pregnant her baby is due in like oct/nov so only just. There's plenty of time to do the work. I have said no matter what get the dog desexed as it may settle him but as well as that if she rehomes him via the paper it minimizes him going to puppy farmers or bybs Her response "oh but i don't think he's purebred" God people are idiots!!! Poor dog, hoping she takes my advice and gets him done I even directed her to the local paper where vets advertise cheap desexing. Should I be doing anything else? Im more interested on helping the dog, But seriously idiot! OH just pointed out I feel sorry for her kid "anyone want a baby it cries and poops too much"
-
Nup too many idiots, figured we'd take the kids up to the petbarn fun day to grab some dog food and then up to dogs overboard for a swim if it's not packed, we've never been there before but we have a few who would benefit from some hydrotherapy
-
were out on both dogs, both too young, Ella wil be 2 in late August and amber in 2013 lol! Plenty of training time :)
-
I'm really wanting to get the lowchen fit enough to do ET but she has No obedience and I ain't got a bike.. What's the deal with running and what are the dates for syd so I can start preparing ourselves And how old do the dogs have to be as we have a lakie who is nearly 6 months who'd go great guns at this lol
-
Lmao found out it was Ambers breeder she had a dog there as well :)
-
I can tell you tonight when I get home. Assume one was Les' as he was down there. Yep will assume that but curious as to the other, maybe he did end up getting a bitch.. Who knows lol!
-
Anyone know who the 2 lakelands entered were?
-
We used soup cans for our baby worked a treat as she would push back and knock herself off them which in turn gave her a shock which taught her stand still.. We've seem lots of improvement since :) But cans like baked beans or vege tins anything of that size. And still weighed down with the product.

Just wondering why they clip the Lowchen's like they do. Also who is the first little dog in your sig....I think he is georgous :) Lowchens are the little lion dog so we clip them in what's suppose to represent the lion so the big mane at the front and the lion tail at the back. If that makes sense. I laughed the first time I saw the clip but I love it over a teddy bear clip or anything else. Because our girl is still a show girl well not ATM as I'm focusing on her agility before she's bred with we keep her in show clip as she is a representation of her breed as far as I know she's the only one competing :) The first pup in my signature is our lakeland baby "upinair sun line" aka amber or fish lmao. She's just 5 months now that photo was at her first show.. Great little breed but very cheeky and full on lol! Sorry to the OP for going off topic lmao but hey now you know more about the lowchen trim
-
A Lowchen would fit all these plus a little extra For starters they don't have to keep their breed trim they look just as cute in a teddy ear clIp. They are low shedding and just require A brush a few times a week if you keep them in coat but have the softest fur. They are very social little dogs, our little one loves to have snuggles on the bed and couch but is happy to head outside and play with our other dogs too. She is not a digger, they are little guard dogs at times and will alert you to strange happenings. A bonus is they love children and are a great children's dog as well our girl LOVES our nieces and nephews, just last week when they stayed with us she spent the night IN the bed with them. My OH is a groomer and he was saying that he finds cavvys to be a high shedding breed and sadly as well for me currently having a dog to handstrip lol handstripping ain't that fun and is fiddly, much prefer a good old clip and brush dog lol. But all in all a very intelligent breed who would benefit from training but don't require it as such maybe a sit and come when called but they are the kind of dog who is happy to do what you want, you can get super lively lowchens like we have or you can get super quiet ones or middle in between.. Theres a lowchen for every personality lol Oh and did I mention they are little hoovers, we call ours pig lmao cOs she will even eat cauliflower off my plate lmao! And they come in a rainbow of colours :) If you want anymore info drop me a pm but I really think this is the breed for you!!
