  1. We were lucky with the changeover. No runny poo's at all, but one of my girls certainly had softer stools for about a month, and certainly more frequent than she had on Eagle Pack, but then it all settled.
  2. There is also a dedicated Artemis website for more info: http://www.artemispetfood.com.au/index.htm (imported by Judith from K9 & Katz kitchen) I've been buying my dog food through Judith at K9Katz & Kitchen for a few years now and i can't recommend her highly enough. She has fabulous product and nutritional knowledge and will work with you to find the best food for your dog. Awesome that they offer free delivery to metro Melbourne as well... no matter if i'm at work or home, it's no trouble at all!
  3. I'm not sure if EP is irradiated, outatime. I switched for other reasons. Be worth checking with them to be certain.
  4. I switched my girls from EP to Artemis a while ago... it's a great quality food and is not exposed to irradiation either: http://www.artemispetfood.com.au/
  5. Thanks for the update GG. I've been wondering how Beau is doing!
  6. I send them in an Express satchel and have the results in my email within 3 days!!
  7. WOO HOOO FTPO! THat's fabulous news for you and Benson!
  8. Keeping everything crossed for you and Beau GG, and sending lots of healing vibes your way!
  9. Just wanting to wish you good luck for Beau's surgery next week. Give the gorgeous boy a big hug from me as well!
  10. My first golden had both HD and ED... managed conservatively. She went missing at the age of 7. Her ED was diagnosed at around 6 months and HD a year or so later. This was a while ago now... she didn't seem to be in any pain but i suspect she had a very high pain threshold. She was slow to get up and wasn't interested in longer walks or anything strenuous but otherwise was fine. Back then options were more limited than now, but i personally would not opt for surgery unless there was no other option.
  11. I am so sorry to hear of Ripley's passing, IG - such a tragic accident!! Please don't feel bad that you weren't outside with him though - who on earth would have suspected something like that could happen? He was a beautiful looking boy and he was loved during his short time with you. I'm so glad his breeder has been supportive too... i know i'd be completely devastated if it was one of my babies. Please let us know if we can do anything.
  12. Fingers crossed that Beau continues to heal and that scarring will be minimal. I also couldn't believe that they used a hot water bottle in the first place. I'm glad that they are now taking responsibility though.
  13. Hi oonga, i'm just using the Adult Fresh Mix - dogs are doing great on it, and it's very cost effective as i'm feeding less than i was on EP.
  14. I don't think any retailers in QLD are stocking Artemis as yet. Contact Judith from Artemis as i know she will ship up to QLD. I've got my girls on it and it's a fabulous food (switched from EP Holistic). Email addy: [email protected]
  15. Yep, i've used interceptor Spectrum for a few years now and never had a problem or a reaction. I buy mine at www.pricelesspets.com.au
  16. Sorry to hear about Brodie, Kyra :D . I hope it's something treatable. I think you'll find though that most insurance companies won't insure him if it's pre-existing.
  17. WOOO HOOOOO! How exciting for you CS. I don't think you'll be disappointed with the D80 - i absolutely love mine!
  18. dogdayz: Could you let us know how your puppy class goes? It's always great to be able to recommend places to friends and puppy buyers!
  19. W2S - Thanks for the update. Sounds like she's doing very well - wonderful to hear!!
  20. I was also tossing up between the Nikon and Canon. The Nikon to me felt like a more solid unit, but i would imagine they'd both take fab pics. In the end, my brother was selling his D80 so i got it for a reasonable price with 2 lenses.. the kit lens and the 55-200VR (which is what i'm using most of the time). I'm just learning and most of my pics have been taken on either sports mode or auto, but it takes an amazing photo. If you PM me your email address i'm more than happy to send through originals too.
  21. Depends on what brand, but i also use K9katz & Kitchen... they're fabulous! Delivery is free if you meet certain criteria (on the website)
  22. I also live in Melbourne and have never had any issues with fleas in the area i live in. I use Interceptor Spectrum - also buy from www.pricelesspets.com.au
  23. I'm currently feeding Artemis and prior to that, Eagle Pack Holistic (regular if i was poor LOL)... am happy with both!
  24. I've been using Artemis for my 3 goldens for a few months now. It's great quality and the girls just love it, to the point of spinning around my kitchen when it's dinner time LOL. One of my girls puts on weight easily and i've found it easy to maintain her weight with Artemis (Fresh Mix adult). I haven't tried the weight management formula. My older girl gets 1 to 1 1/4 cup/day, 3 y.o fairly active girl is now getting 2 cups a day, and my 18 month old lazy girl gets 1.5 cups.
  25. I don't really have anything but a silly anecdote to add here since you obviously have everything under control and just have to be wary of anything containing latex from now on. We recently had our CPR update at work and we were using latex covers on Resus Annie for mouth-to-mouth. Two of the girls had a reaction and looked like puffer fish for a day! LOL... We won't let them forget about it. On a more serious note, i haven't heard of an allergy in dogs to Elastoplast, but there's no reason why they couldn't be. Have come across quite a few humans that are allergic/sensitive to it! Anyway, best of luck with you boy and hope he recovers soon!
