Miss ebony gave birth to 3 puppies on Saturday night. Sadly we lost 2 last night. The remaining puppy doesn't have much of a suck reflex so we have to hand raise him. He's currently getting between 3 and 5 mls of milk mix every 1-2 hours. Mum is being great and doing all his cleaning. Any hints or tips to help him survive ?

I know this is a dog forum, but after looking my old dog only 2 1/2 weeks ago, I had to say farewell to my beautiful old tabby cat tonight. Ziggy came into my life February 11, 1997 at just over 2 weeks of age. He was found in a box with his litter mates who all had sadly passed away. He had a large gash on his shoulder and I had asked my boss if we could stitch him up and I would hand raise him. He fought hard in those first few weeks then never looked back. Tonight he walked under the car as my dad was reversing it. Rest in peace my sweet boy, run free with Pugsly. You were always good mates as babies and don't let Pugsly boss you around.

Pugsly, my beautiful sweet old terrier cross lost his battle with heart disease last night. Pugsly was 15 years, 7 months and 13 days old when he closed his eyes for the final time. He took the very tough decision away from my passing peacefully in my arms while waiting for the vet last night. Rest in peace sweet old boy you will be missed by all those who had the privilege of meeting you. Run free with you best mates at the rainbow bridge.

Indigirl, I am waiting to hear from a friend who is driving back from Adelaide with in the next few days and may be able to pick him up on his way through If that doesn't work out, I would love it if you could pick him up and bring him to Sydney with you. The Wednesday won't be too late for the mating as I usually mate her on days 10 and 14 and she produced 5 then 4 pups. How long will you be I'm Sydney for?

Thanks aziah. The owners own their own business so travelling any distance is out of the question ATM. The said bitch he is being put to wasn't expected to come into season for another 3 months, which we had arranged for the dog to come back closer to her being due.

Have looked into flying. The airport at cobar don't fly dogs.

Hoping some breeders here could help I need to get a dog from Cobar NSW to Sydney within the next week for a mating. He is an 8 yo male Shih Tzu. Can anyone recommend a transport company or even a vet near by that could collect and send chilled seman? Or even if there is someone who may be driving part way to Sydney that could take him and I could meet you somewhere ? It's an 8 hour drive each way for me and I'm not good at driving long distances by myself. Hoping someone can help Regards Bel

Any idea who won the breeders group in non sporting?

Just want to share a small brag for my Shih Tzu Gus (Ch Beltzu Its All About Me) We are currently on a working holiday in Perth. At both Western Classic Shows, Gus Showed his little hrart out to win Best of Breed both days. I am very proud of my little man who is only very lightly shown in the last few months. Looking forward to a few more shows up here, before we head back to sydney for the roya land specialty shows.
