Thanks missymoo. My may girl is having 4 (X-ray done yesterday) so hoping Beth doesn't have that many more. I mated 3 girls as I've had bitches missing last year and this year all 3 took so looking forward to no more litters after these for a few years.

Missymoo sounds very promising. My girl is Hugh with 22 days still to go and is bigger then my girl who has only 10 days to go. Her mother had 6 (to produce her) and her grandmother just had 6 in April so thinking she may be the same

I want to start showing my boy as a veteran soon. Does anyone know if it will be ok to do so with his implant ? I've spent the last 18 months growing his coat back (he's a Shih Tzu). The only positive to the implant is that I've had quite a few bitches in season over the last 2 years and I haven't needed to lock him up I'm only disappointed as I had planned on mating him to a bitch who I've planed on only having one litter from. Guess I'll have to wait til her daughter is ready now.

My boy had a 12 month implant in April 2011 he still hasn't returned to normal. I was hoping to use him this year but it looks like he may never be used again.

My june litter has been confirmed. Miss beth had her ultrasound today and at least 3 puppies seen though I think there's more as she is already bigger then my girl who is due in may.

My young boy recently won his first neuter in group yesterday and I was very disappointed that all we win was a ribbon. Why is it that we have to pay the same entry fee as entire dogs but dont get the same reward for winning our class in group?

I'll start of the june litters. Hope to have my 3rd and final litter for a while june 2nd. Beth is a 3rd gen home bred bitch very excited to see what we get it should be a full black and white litter of shih tzu puppies.

Our puppies arrived today. Miss chelsea wasn't well last night si an emergency trio to the vet she came home on a drip for a few hours and ended up having a caeser. Today. We have 5 healthy puppies 3 girls and 2 boys. Sadly we had to have a 6th puppy put to sleep as he had a harelip.

in my breed if we eliminated every dog with a hernia we would have a very small gene pool. my bitch due to whelp any day now has a reducable hernia, she has had large litters in the past and has no ill effect at all. When she gets desexed she will have it repaired. As I do early desexing, all my pups with hernias get repaired at the same time, its a simple procedure and never had any problems at all.

My girl is due next week and she's hugh. She weighed 7.3kg at ultrasound and weighs 9kg today. Having an X-ray done today to see how many. Getting very excited as this is a duel mating but we will have to wait til thru are 6 weeks old before we know which pup/s belong to which sire hoping we get a mix.

Mating done today for a Shih Tzu litter due may 20th. Fingers crossed as its a first time for both mum and dad and a maying I have planned for over 3 years.

No numbers here either and cheque hasnt been cashed.

My boy is almost at 2 years past implantation. He is interested in the girls but is still not fertile. (ran him with my last girl in season and no puppies resulted ). I'm hoping he will be ok to use when my next girl is due in as it's a mating I've had planed for for years. Would not recommend it to anyone wanting to use their dog in their breeding program.
