  11. "congrats bel - anymore since you last posted? did you u/sound, is that why you're sure of numbers? Hope mum and bubs are all safe and well." SoL- we are sure of numbers as I had mum xrayed. we ended up with 7 babies- 4 boys and 3 girls , 1 girl is quite small but very strong, has had couple of good feeds and is quite content to lay with her litter mates. the first 5 were born so quick, but she took so long between 5 and 6 and even longer between the last 2. will post pics once mum has settled. Bel
  12. Still only the 5, mum is sleeping all pups have had a feed and are asleep.
  13. Count is at 5 now 3 girls and 2 boys 2 more to go
  14. So far we have 2 pups 1 boy and 1 girl both appear to be gold and white She seems to not want to waste time they were born only 15 mins apart with another one on it's way now
  15. Cograts on the puppies Skyehaven and Libitybrook. My girl is so big her belly drags on the ground , I'm surprised she hasn't had them yet. She's still eating and wanting to play with the other dogs so it's just a waiting game still.
  16. Took my girl to the vets for an xray to count puppies tonight. She is expecting 7, she has gained over 2 kg now weighing in at 9.2kg. Only 6 days to go ( fron the first slip mating)
  17. There's no mistaking my girl is pregnant Anyone want to gues how many? she still has over 2 weeks to go
  18. ThNx heaps for the well wishes for Hannah. She has made a full recovery. It turned out to be a delayed reaction to the anaesthic. I'm so glad she is ok and am extremely grateful to my wonderful vet who saw her afterhours even though they don't do an afterhours service.
  19. Thanx heaps for the well wishes. We don't know what happened but she's getting better. I removed her drip line about an hour ago as it had finished. She has eatten some can dog food( the barf patties were still frozen) and had a bowl of water. She is still weak on her legs but is able to walk unaided. She did try and play with the other dogs. Was a very scary night but at least she is getting better.
  20. Thanx for the well wishes everyone Hannah seems a little brighter this morning, she has responded to us calling her name and to the other dogs barking. Will take her out to the toilet and see how she walks. I hate not knowing what's wrong.
  21. Thanx heaps everyone for the well wishes. Hannah had blood tests and xrays before her surgery which were all clear. Results from tonight are back and show nothing abnormal so vet has rulled out Addisons which is good although we still don't have any answers as to what's wrong. The only thing abnormal (well for Hannah anyway) is her heart rate is higher then it usually is. Her normal heartrate is about 80-90 and now it's about 140 (this is normal for a small dog) She looks like she is still coming out of the anaesthetic, dopey, disorientated etc although she was fine when I brought her home and even was trying to play with her grandpups. She is asleep in her crate beside me at home on a drip (and before you say anthing I'm a fully qualified and experienced vet nurse who has done a few years of night and after hours shifts) with strict instructions to call the vet if anything changes.
  22. My foundation girl Hannah is currently laying on the vets consult table unable to move. She has surgery yesterday to remove a couple of mamery(sp?) lumps. All was well recovered from the surgery was barking to come home when I picked her up. Was all good until about 8:30 tonight when I went to give her her antibiotics and found her calapsed in her crate. We are waiting for her blood results as I type. Vet seems to think it's addison's disease. Fingers crossed and all my prayers are for my girl to be ok
