Thanks everyone for your feedback - I'm going to trial a martingale collar.

I'm after more control outside the ring mainly at the shows - there are so many different smells there. It would be nice to walk him around without the constant pulling!

I have a 14 month old GSD which has been doing a few local shows however I need to teach him some basic obedience ie walking by my side when not in the ring. He has quite a big coat and I'm considering getting the fur saver but I'm not sure it will be as effective as the standard check chain. What do you recommend?
