  1. I should also add - my dog does well on chicken as opposed to red meat. I'm not a vet. These things just worked for my dog.
  2. My dog has a mild form of inflamatory bowel disorder and I find that the only thing that controls it is PLAIN white naturally cultured yoghurt - I use low fat. Also, a lady across the street is on Chemo and has been told to eat plain yoghurt to increase her white blood count - this is something I didn't know about yoghurt. Good luck! :D
  3. I stay away from sheep necks, I've watched several Kelpies just about choke to death on these things. I think one would have, if I hadn't jambed my fist down it's throat and yanked the bone out. Very scary event for both of us - my heart was pounding. Viva chook necks!
  4. One of my dogs has chronic pancreatitus, possibly as a result of eating too much marrow in large bones which she used to love. I wish in hindsight, that I had offered only chicken necks (with all the fat removed). ;)
  5. I would just like to add, if you are thinking of using soya beans - be aware that some dogs with allergies may get a reaction. One of my dogs is allergic to a lot of things, grass pollen etc, but his reaction to soya is very severe. ;)
  6. I've posted my Chook Stew on this forum recently. Into a pressure cooker add: Chook, carrots, sweet spuds (orange-coloured ones) and green beans and broccoli. You add other thing you find in your fridge - cauliflower etc. It is easy to prepare and dogs just love it, especially the gravy. Serve with brown rice and sprinkle some dog vitamin and mineral powder on it.
