Absolutely we have all made mistakes and it is all trial and error. Even with medication. If my dog had a skin problem I would probably have tried the Aloveen because it is widely advertised as being for dogs with sensitive skin. Even Vets can get it wrong and give the wrong treatment or medication. What about trying the Calendula Rinse some of the Dolers have mentioned on here in the past. One woman in the park told me she had been to a Vet plus a Skin Specialist Vet for dogs, spent $3000 with no result. She had a Blue Staffy. She ended up getting the Cytopoint injection and the problem went away.

All of the Frenchies around here have a lot of skin problems.

Every day I see people with pups taking them for long walks. 4 mth old pups being taken for very long walks and in the heat as well. No wonder there are joint problems in young dogs.

At SASH the Specialist Vet Clinic in Sydney they give you a quote when you pay for your initial consult and they often ask for a deposit as well. You receive a fully itemised quote as to the treatment cost with an added proviso the cost may change due to unexpected complications or extra treatment etc. Yes and Chemo is expensive.

I think it's a cross between a Cocker Spaniel and a Cavalier. They have been around for some time like the Pugaliers. There are so many "designer" crosses around these days it's hard to recognise one from the other . There are even Bordoodles i.e. Border Collie/Poodle cross. People around the corner from me had a lovely Border Collie. After it died they replaced it with a Bordoodle that never stops barking.

Or just out of concern as a "foster mum".

A friend of mine adopted a Koolie some years ago. Lovely, intelligent dog . And they are getting another Koolie as company for the older dog.
