  1. This is a good news story. Dog and owners very happy to be reunited.

  3. There is a cobberdog that goes to my dog park. The owner told me they were bred as "assistance" dogs and he got the dog for his daughter who had a mild disability. He told me that's what the cobberdogs were bred for. I have no idea whether this true or not just what I was told. This was about 2 years ago and before that I had never heard of cobberdogs.

  5. You could check if one of the vets in Bowral do it. Or ring SASH to see if they know of anyone near you that does stem cell therapy.
  6. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-08-21/guam-stray-dogs-boonies-flights-us-adoption/101345776 Good outcome for these stray dogs. They look happy.
  7. I have had pups flown from Qld to Sydney in the past by Dogtainers. I found them excellent and I would use them again if need be.

  9. Small Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH) at North Ryde, Animal Referral Hospital (ARH) and Specialist Ctr at Crows Nest/St Leonards Sydney would all do stem cell treatment. Personally I would do SASH. SASH are also located on the Central Coast.
  10. I prefer yellows. I have encountered some nasty entire black males over the years . Female blacks have been ok. I agree with Dogsfevr that different colours in the same breed have different temperaments.
  11. Judging by the reported dog attacks lately i.e. Centennial Park & Central Coast etc etc the idiots & stupidity are everywhere. And lets not mention their driving habits. Doing u turns on double yellow lines, barging in to take your right of way , not indicating, etc etc. The sense of entitlement is overwhelming. I forgot parking in No Standing Zones and obscuring visibility. @PowerlegsThis must sound familiar to you I'm in IWC.
  12. We had a neighbour who had always had Deerhounds when she was younger. After her husband went into a nursing home she got another Deerhound. So here was this tiny , fragile lady well into her 80's walking the Deerhound that totally dwarfed her. I used to see her in the park etc often with bandages in various places on her body and I would say to her "sporting injury eh". I always loved it that she replaced the husband with the Deerhound. And the dog ,Hector as he was called, was huge.
  13. Yep. I hate all that. Asking for personal info etc plus a "delivery plan". I bet they retain credit card details as well.
  14. Unfortunately that has been my experience with Chi's. Perhaps it's a combination of the owners and the way they have been raised. Maybe it's because they are purchased by people who haven't a clue about dogs let alone Chi's. Or because it's an Inner City area. I will say there are a lot of idiots around here who get dogs and don't know the first thing about the breeds they buy..
  15. Christina 77 . Make it easy on yourself and get exactly what you want. Not Chi's. All the Chi's around here try to attack big dogs and yap constantly. Some pups are really hard work. More than you want when you are older. I am going through this atm. Maybe ask around and try and get an ex show dog or older dog from a breeder,

  17. Australian Terrier or Havanese. Maybe Border Terrier. All nice dogs even though I'm a Giant dog person I rate these particular smaller breeds.. I see these breeds in the park and they are all nice and well behaved. Not yappy. Aussie Terriers are very hardy.
  18. You can get long life goats milk from Woollies or Coles. It's called Living Planet UHT Goats Milk and costs $4.70.

  21. I had to do this about a year ago and it broke my heart . This dog was a rehome and quickly became my heart dog. Even though it's a year since he went I still miss him and think of him every day.. You are in my thoughts at this sad time.
  22. Maybe contact these people on FB . Fair Mate Catahoulas Australia. It may be one of their dogs and they may know who lost the dog. https://www.facebook.com/fmcatahoulas/
  23. Apparently, because of all the publicity surrounding the attack he went to Council and admitted it was his dog and he was unable to control the dog.
  24. The idiot owner got fined $330. The owner is apparently a"Celebrity TV Star" whatever that is. I always think idiot people usually have idiot dogs because they don't bother to discipline or train their dogs. And horrible people usually have horrible dogs. It's called projection.
