I'm in Sydney as well. Turned the fire on around 9am and the thermometer said 12 degrees. Walked the dog in the rain as well! Wonderful.

Definitely agree with a puppy training class. And the trainer may be able to recommend a Behaviourist or another trainer for more advanced training. The puppy class should also help the pup with boredom and socialisation..

I've often thought that it might be Possum pee they can smell and that's why they get so excited. I have a dog that is smell obsessed as well.

We used Dogtainers on the breeders advice. She always uses them . They were helpful when required. It was pretty straight forward.

I have witnessed many times 30-40 yr old idiots who can't control a 5-7kg dog whilst older people in their 60-70's are perfectly controlling 50 kg plus dogs. Perhaps it is more about dog owner responsibility being exercised than age. And t's usually the 5 kg type dogs attacking the much larger dogs around here.

@LMO. I remember all of those arrogant male Gynaecologists from my younger days. They thought they were God. Glad the dogs are ok.

@Papillion Kisses Yes. Woollies chooks have been the plat du jour for some years now.

In my area it's the lack of enforcement by council officers. There have been cases around here where council haven't even contacted witnesses whose details were recorded in the written complaint . Council dismissed the attacks entirely saying there wasn't enough evidence to proceed . And that's what witnesses are for to support the attack complaints and give their version of what they witnessed.

Have you got any Troy Nutripet on hand to stimulate her appetite. And the Woolies chooks are the best. Especially warm. Extensively tried and tested here by my 2.

Havanese. Not yappy but happy and easy going. Good companion dogs. Every Havanese I have met has been absolutely delightful. And I'm a big dog lover and owner.
