Most of whats said above holds pretty true. I'm not sure I would say that a BT is "highly intelligent" - Would love to think so but they're not in the class of a Lab for instance (I've had both of these breeds over the years). They are trainable but you need to put a lot more time into them than you do a labby. The bitch I have here (lying on my feet right now after just getting yelled at for eating the catfood) is quite smart in a lot of ways. Lead trained, obedient, will sit (im)patiently and wait until she gets told she can eat and a number of other things. Her mother went to the highest level of obedience at the Obedience club and also competed in flyball. Do they like fighting..? Nahhhh.....I agree with the poster above in relation to early socialisation and putting the time in with them. Also agree that they may not 'like' fighting but if they do, they're good at it. I've never owned a bully that was dog agressive, chased cats or any other creature. Again, all about the time we've put into them (I will declare I had one who bit a person once). In this house we have along with her (shes a Minature actually) - we have a Cavalier King Charles and a Chihuahuahuahuahua. The Chihuaha smacks the Bully up most nights. Always wins. The bully and the CKC have had a couple of fights always started by they Cavvy (jealous little wench). They are almightily stubborn and if they dont want to do something, then you go get your block and tackle to move the buggers There will ALWAYS be a bull terrier (or miniature) in my life. Can't beat em!

That's a pretty big assumption to make. Not an assumption at all, a question. Unlike many on this forum, I try not to make assumptions. The op has a lot of threads asking about breeding. Seems a lot of questions about issues which are not relevant to the purchase and keeping of a pet puppy, and I would like to know why someone who is purchasing a pet is asking as many or more questions about breeding as about pet keeping! Assumption - insinuation...whatever. It wasnt fair. Fair? FAIR? What's fair? if you post on an open forum, and someone asks you a question, that's fair. It was A QUESTION. If you don't like that, tough. If you presumed it was an assumption, you should check your comprehension levels. The op has answered the question, anyhow. Thanks jess live die ;) Drama Queen...

That's a pretty big assumption to make. And a very unfair one

Doesn't sound like a breeder to me - sounds like a company that should be listed on the stock exchange

Some quick pics tonight. Amazing how focused we can be when theres a ball involved in the second two shots. The first two? Well...chillin' is something done best on the couch apparently.

One very good source for info on Staffords is Bullbreeds Online. A multitude of threads on health and all sorts of issues and some on blues, but don't expect warm welcoming arms in regards to this. A ton of SBT breeders/judges/owners from all around the world. Might be worth a look for you.

Not sure that you know when a good time to shut up is.

Saw that bit. Was the next bit that confused me. How did he need to better fix the image..?
-
Now you've confused me. Fixing that image by.............err..........not having tatts for instance..? Surely you're not going to say that having his dogs off the lead portrayed 'the' bad image for his breed(s)?
-
You'd like to think it was a joke but unfortunately thats not going to be the case

I have bullbreeds...a lot of tatts, I wear dark shades. I have a crew cut, I'm a big bloke and I walk around the streets. So that means I've got the bullbreeds to look tougher heh..? Stereotyping because of how someone looks huh? I've got something for you that might come as a shock...he might love bullbreeds. Christ.

Bull Terrier (Miniature) mauled by nasty little dog (click here) Will have some better ones to post in future.

I've worked in the bush in years gone by and definitely found Tigers to be much more aggressive than other snakes.

Thats a great picture, it gave me a great chuckle. To the OP - have you got a pic..?

Do You Assume Your Dog Is An Invited Guest?
BoStoNmAdNeSs replied to slk's topic in General Dog Discussion
Christ - in my opinion this thread has shown some really nasty sides to people here. Doesn't matter how many you have, its extremely rude to take them at ALL in my opinion. I'e got friends who I'm sure if I asked they would say yes even if they didn't really want my dogs there as thats the sort of people they are - they say YES to their friends and are accommodating, even if its inconvenient for them. Having said that, I would NEVER take my dogs to someone elses house 'visiting' You can feel however you want about kids but if I don't want other people's kids coming over I have just as much right to say so as if I didn't want other people's dogs coming over. The situations are actually quite comparable. AS above in regards to you not accepting my children into your house 'if' we were 'friends'. You seriously tell your friends that they can come over but their kids can't..? Christ almighty - this thread has me sitting here shaking my head. Obviously Im in the absolute minority here with my opinions but I gotta say that I've now got carpet rash on the bottom of my jaw from where it hit the floor reading various posts above. -

National Flyball Championships Melbourne
BoStoNmAdNeSs replied to 2tollers's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Well, luckily we got some free tickets as our girls were competing...but I agree on the price. I thought it was a bit hefty all considered. Bloody hot in there too...I only lasted about 3 hours on Sunday and left to go home..!!! My wife competed with maggie, the only mini bull terrier there and they come first in divison 5....and she also competed with Ruby our Boston terrier, also the only one there and they came 2nd in Dvision 6 (I think) Good day for her and the Ballarat teams. I love the Parramatta team (Im sure its the one Im thinking of) Theres a girl in the team, quite pretty and friendly (met her at a couple of other meets)..and she has this scruffy little beautiful thing. I love watching this dog run. Cheers -
thats the lunatic..!! (great shot)
