the groomer should of taken full responceablity, no matter how the incident happened, yes should be paying all the vet bills, which if they are insured would be covered. Also it is a great concern that the groomer did not contact the owner as soon as the incident happened not wait till them to come and pick up the dog and not to contact a vet straight away as well as poodlefan said..... i would demand to speak to the owner of the place and then take matters further.... in any animal business incidents can easily accrue, but to be treated the way your friend has, is not acceptable

this dry food sounds great, i have tried a sample bag, and dogs seem to do good on it, normally my boys will get runny poos if i give them other dry foods, and this stuff didnt. My boys are on Nutro, which of cause is no longer available :D so i need to work out what dry food is best to change them over too. I only have about 2 weeks or so left of the nutro dry food, so need to get on to this straight away..

Gambit's Disastrous Novice Trialing Day
wagalot replied to Gamby's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
well i was entered, but was sick as a dog so Cooper missed out.... -
i wouldn't say corgi looks to me like a topical mix of pom, JRT and possibly a little chi. they look older than 5 weeks too, maybe closer to 8-10 weeks. if you are a new dog owner and planning on keeping them both, i would be getting them to the vet for an all over check up, vacc, worming etc ASP. i would say they haven't had much social interaction, so i would think about puppy pre school as well.... god luck with them

congrats shoemonster i thought i saw you at the trail well done.....

:D yes big canines......all the better to eat you with ;) if your a pigs ear of cause sorry to all the doggies watching my boys enjoy there pigs ears, there were a few on lookers :p love the pics Erny..... Seagate if i had a dollar for every time someone said that, (the baby jokes) i would be a millionaire.... the funny thing is Tya really likes kids and has no problems with babies. He will be living with one come November yes the old crate attitude between my 2 boys is rather funny it was Tya telling poor Cooper (Aussie) to move over, even though the poor boy was stuck in the corner and could t move any more over :D ;) Tya is a space hog and doesnt like to move for any one he only seems to grumble at him, he never in his life snapped at Cooper, so i know they will figure it out between them selves Petmezz...... so glad you got home safely, was very worried how on earth you were going to get back to the airport with a dog and a crate not mention bags....geez you sure were keen ;) how did your freestyle lesson go??? you can come and still Tya any time, only if i can still Zen ;) :p he is such a well behaved Husky -

Okay come to join the losers thread Cooper had a bad run in Novice yesterday at Croyton, lil bugger stuffed up every thing except stays I have one black tri Aussie.....Freee to a good home, for any one that wants him he also decided to be a pain out side the ring and sniff the ground like we were there to do tracking instead, and never ending sooking he really is not in my good books at the moment the monster has been working 100% perfect at taining too
-
maybe i better post this in the losers section rather than brags
-

-

-
congrats leopuppy on finally getting your CDX from what i saw, it looked like some nice work well done as for me and Cooper, well it wasn't to be lil bugger stuffed up in many areas

hand commands should be the same every time, loud and clear, it is wise to train your dog to both voice and hand commands, until you have established hand signals close to your dog, i would not attempt distance control by hand commands. using fingers, fists etc you may find it hard for your dog to read from a distance. best to learn the commands used in obedience trailing and use what is common among dog trainers. As for trick training if you do a Google on training tricks, you will find info on what hand commands people use for certain tricks etc "wave" most people use a waving hand for this trick.....

there is way, its called training!!!! remembering dogs are unpredictable even the most well trained dogs may have the same incident. you can train boundaries with dogs, teaching them where is the boundary of the property and teaching them they can not go past this point, it takes along time, and it depeneds on the breed and personallity of the dog, as well as your training methods. do you take your dog to obedience school? a reliable recall is also a good place to start. its important to teach your dog to sit before crossing roads too. a good trainer can show you the best ways to teach your dog boundaries. glad to hear your dog is okay though
