Not a a very clear photo but it is a framed black and white sketch of my girls. I have the most amazing friend who got this done for me as a gift. She always has the best ideas and knows how much my girls mean to me. Just had to show it off.

Wow. That looks amazing. Lucky birds.

Such a sad time. My thoughts are with you. Reading about what you and your family have been through I understand that it has been quite tough for sometime. I do believe that you have tried your hardest for this little love and making the right decision is so very hard. But right. It’s a shame she is so young but I believe God takes all the good ones. Take care.

I have one exactly the same. They are beautiful.

Your experience sounds horrible. Most cancer stories are I guess but at least our experience went the opposite of yours. We were told by a very nice specialist vet that Zena had barely a month to live. No treatment was going to help her type of cancer. And she just kept going. For 2 months. I know that doesn’t sound very long but when you are told less any extra time feels like a bonus. And even though I had to hand feed her she was mostly her normal happy self. Painkillers obviously helped.

My thoughts are with you DDD. It was this time last year when Zena was diagnosed with cancer. Hers was very aggressive and from diagnosis to making that decisions was just 8 weeks. She went from being her normal happy self to a very tired girl quite quickly although thinking back she was probably acting a bit more lazy before that but I just put it down to the hot weather we were experiencing. I also had noticed she was losing weight. She went off her food about a month after diagnosis and I had to persevere and hand feed her. About that time she too stopped jumping up on the lounge etc and we took to carrying her up and down our stairs. I never once saw her throw up except 2 days before our decision and that was just liquid . The day we took her for her last vet visit she was very frail and could barely walk. Although 2 days earlier she had been running around, literally running, while I gardened. It was like her last bit of energy. My last bit of happiness. I believe we left her go for a few days too long but it was over a weekend and our regular vet was away. I’ m not sure if any of this is helpful. It’s really horrible to watch the way cancer works. If only dogs could talk. Everyone kept telling us we would know when and believe it or not you do. In the mean time lots of cuddles and love. And I’m sure your little one knows how much you love her. Make the most of the time you have left with her. Will be thinking of you.

No advice here either but my thoughts are with you . Hope a diagnosis can be given quickly to at least ease your mind. -

The blade would definitely be blunt. Needs sharpening or a new one. I have always used the Wahl KM2 clipper for grooming. I do a lot of schnauzers. And just recently I had the same problem as you. Because it was a rush before Xmas and so much going on I actually was not thinking straight and kept taking it off and cleaning etc. Then I suddenly realised, doh and changed to a new blade and the fur just fell off. Job finally done.

Meet “super Molly”. Some of us have nothing better to do. Starting the year off well
-
Thanks for that. They are actually in touch with someone up in Mackay now who has a litter ready by the end of January. Text messages, phone calls and photos have been flying back and forth all day. They are in constant touch with me also for advice. Lots of questions etc being asked and answered by all concerned. Seems like a little girl will finally be getting a marvellous new family.

Just enquiring if anyone knows of someone who has a litter of mini schnauzer pups at the moment or very soon. A friend of mine is after one. She has a male that I sold her almost 2 years ago. He is a beautiful boy but has loads of energy. They have been thinking of adding another cutie for a while. I have finished breeding ! He has been staying with us for a few weeks ( for those who may have read my comments in another thread about reacting to the fireworks, this is not the same boy) over Xmas along with another friends 7 month old schnauzer pup and the two of them have been getting on like a house on fire. In my opinion this pup has really sorted him out ( he stays with us regularly and has been known to be a bit of a handful) but he is so gentle with her and it’s an absolute pleasure to watch them play. His owners have now definitely decided on adding to their family. It’s just that schnauzers can be hard to come by. If anyone can help we are in southeast Qld.

Wow. That’s insane. Can hardly get my sweaty head around that. I think I’d love it.

SM he is sooooo cute. Love all the colours. Nice to see a Bub all wrapped up and cuddly. It’s a bit different here. I have taken on babysitting duties twice a week of my friends 5 month old baby boy. I put him down for a sleep the other day wearing just a nappy. 34 degrees here !!!

Do it. Really. It sounds like it would be perfect. I would

This is something I do every year. I then send Xmas greetings to all those I have sold pups to. And friends of course. Harder this year as I’ve always had 2 little sweeties under my tree. Merry christmas to all.

Our storm came about 3pm today. Not a lot of thunder. Mostly rain. Molly seemed just a little anxious. Once it stopped raining we went for a walk. She was quite ok. We also had an afternoon storm yesterday and she was just happy to sit on the floor beside me while I did some ironing. I think the night storms affect her more as she can see the lightening. Hope you no Tempeh got through it all ok this afternoon.

Just jumping in on this thread. Molly has only just started getting anxious with storms as of last season and as LG has stated, this storm season seems to be here early. We usually try not to make a fuss of her and try to distract her but a very loud storm started the other night right as we were going to bed. I know she reacts to the lightening and she will head under the blankets to avoid seeing it but she wants to be right close to us and then the shaking and nervous panting started. It was also quite hot so I was worried about her being under the covers. I have never used anything to calm her down. I don’t think she’d appreciate a thunder shirt as she hates wearing any coats. I have been looking into the rescue remedy specifically for storm stress and was wondering what everyone’s opinions on it were.
