No no I have worst ... my rottie chews up underwear from the laundry basket ;)

static collars are not for dogs under about 5-6 months old. Sounds like he has a lot of energy, but saying that he needs to learn to be quiet. What happens if you stand out there with him for a while? And if he starts barking at least verbally correct him for the beginning. You should be teaching your dog at least a quiet command, all mine know when mum yells 'shut up' they're to be nice and quiet He also sounds like he sees the backyard as crazy time. Just a thought does he have somewhere to sleep out there like a kennel?

Did you ask her 'so when you want kids are you going to go hang around on street corners with your pants around your ankles' the human race is abhorrent and intolerable.

I have had a crushed finger - the middle joint is now two pieces of bone touching together multiple lacerations joint fluid oozing into tissue both hands bleeding a gash in my neck From. A. Cat. Trust me the little ones can do a HELL of a lot of damage. Have you seen what a fox terrier can do to an animal many times its size? -
There is a couple of breeders, they are a hunting breed and they are used for herding/pigging here http://www.outbackcatahoulas.com.au/ http://www.currantcatahoulas.com.au I dont think they are AKC recognised in the USA
-
OOooh he's hunting .. definately stalking around he knows something is/was there and he's after it does he have a soft mouth? Might be good for rabbits. Looks like there's some rottie or dobe in there too

could just be confusion, interest and some anxiety. 16 weeks is too young to be aggressive. Remember too Dachys are very vocal little dogs so dont take it as anything out of the ordinary. If he barks, redirect his attention to you. Dont pick him up it does nothing to fix his behavior. Redirect through offering a treat, walk back a little and tug on the lead a few times etc then when he's quiet move off with him.

good luck with the kennel council, I was told to keep on the breeders back because it's not their problem. Only other avenue I suppose is civil court ... product sold not as described

Hey Anna I'm in Geelong I can give you a hand if you like, start him off for you -
that wasnt me Bilbo although I did leave the water python open and somehow she didnt go anywhere at all! Call me crazy I hand feed my pythons. Got them used to feeding with tongs now I'm just lazy and dangle with my hand. Yup no hooking either, I reach in, gently touch them to make sure they're paying attention then pull them right out. Water python is a great girl too, she just lets you know she's REALLY hungry by hitting the glass with her mouth open wide if you get close open the door and she's all 'who ... me ... since you're here where's my noms' The only python I hook is my teeny weeny one but we think he's a mix of coastal carpet x psychopath after almost 18 months you still cannot handle him and he has not grown at all ...

Any Security Dog Handlers Here?

Longcoat internationally GSDs are not always the most popular, other breeds are coming in over the shepherd. Given a choice a shepherd would be one of the lower on the list of next PP dogs I would purchase. Malinois are excelling as are dutchies, rotties will also do well working with a handler. GSDs are preferable here I think more due to habit, I have seen some very good rotties and I used a Malinois myself. Working line shepherds are also easier to come by then working rotts. -
Christ Greytmate he wasnt flipping the snake around at all ;) and yes you use a hook in order to properly manage a snake Copperheads are quite zappy snakes, yes it's pissed but I wouldnt call it tormented at all. I think you took this whole video completely out of context ;) as for picking the native flora dont you know what dry gun leaves look like
-
wow if you think thats tormenting and cranky some see my water python when she's hungry I didnt hear the sound, I just saw the vid and didnt have a problem with it. A snake that has been caught and released will sit there sometimes like a twit and keep striking, better for her to be shown where the reeds are instead of out in the open. some people have sand in their panties tonight dont they

Rottis are not cumbersom or unfit ... maybe the fat ones. They were bred as a working breed I say go with a rottweiler if that is what you prefer -
what ... ala my 5 minute photoshop effort like this

What breed are you after? GSD, Dobe, Rott, Malinois, Dutch? And what experience do you have with training and raising? I would say get involved at least with a Schutzhund club for starters and see what higher drive/working lines are like. Specialistcanines forum is a great place, heaps of breeders there too. I know there's a dutch litter on the ground soon. I will tell you working line dogs are not cheap! And pick a good trainer, unfortunately the morons seem to outnumber the good ones -

bahaha the journal posted my comment -
poodlefans right Mals are used a lot more extensively in sniffer work. They are a multi purpose dog with a great nose (my bitch is a bit manic about finding things and smells ) either way that dog should not be anywhere out in public if it attacks like that and is not controlled.

remember being under control on the odd meet is one thing, being unsupervised and suddenly seeing a herd of noisy, running prey animals can do strange things to a dog

I used to be I would always prefer my own dog. It's a special relationship you have and you need to know everything about the dog, its weaknesses and strengths. I also would not use a dog unless it is tested in a few situations and see what needs improving. Worked with one guy, he had a supposedly trained big F off shepherd. Offered it a sleeve and it went from barking and lunging to pissing itself and hid behind the owner rolling its eyes -
OMG that face says it all!
-
yes that first photo screams MUM WHY DO YOU KEEP THROWING THINGS AT MY FACE
-
Its shrunk a little today ... yeah when I picked him up I thought someone got a bit happy with the scalpel O_o Went to the market this morning and everyone is now calling him Frankendog too I'll have to get him a stick on bolt and some green hair spray

Dogs Fighting Over Food *help*
Nekhbet replied to Tim.duncan's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
The dogs do not have a massive issue with each other so I dont see why separation is necessary. First you teach the dog the other is not around, then suddenly you put them back together within sight of each other - where has coping with sharing visual space been taught?
