  1. Is Noah doing a woo woo woo in that last shot
  2. I've used Karen Hedberg and Rob Zammit. I'd go to Rob Zammit. If you do book in with Karen, make sure she is the one actually performing the xray. Rob's xray equipment is just so awesome, i've never seen anything like it.
  3. Cant wait to hear all about it!
  4. These seem to be a brand new model Rach, I dont think anyone here has got one
  5. Is that a new one or do you mean D300? Disregard, i saw there is a D3000. cool.
  6. mmmm in no way are you at a disadvantage with a d90. Sports mode is just a cheating feature on a Canon. Your D90 has a continuous high dial also. use a higher shutter speed than 1/400 and put it on cont high (ch) You will need a good deal of light or bump up the ISO to get more shutter speed. Using auto on your camera will get you varied results with movement. You need a fairly fast focusing lens also.
  7. hmmm not sure what you mean, the 1.8 is auto focus, they are under 200 dollars for the nikon. It will match your d90 perfectly and will teach you all about DOF. 1.8 is fast enough and great in low light too, ie indoors.
  8. If you can get your hands on one, a Nikon D80 Grab a 18-200 as a kit lens if you can.
  9. He does a lot of them Aussiedogs, as you know people from all over go to him. I have never ever seen neater stitching than his
  10. Cosy what you are explaining is the proceedure for a FHO rather than a THR. They remove the crap thats already chipped away etc and remove the head, so they clean out the bits hanging around in the socket etc.
  11. Aussiedogs, 3000 is a lot for one hip to be done? I realise its a specialist. I had problems with dodgy xrays too that made things look so different. The op should be around 1600. Can you pm me the details of your vet and specialist? Rob Zammit is a fantastic vet, I suggest you ask him to do some xrays, he has awesome machines.
  12. Hi Rae! not seen you in ages here. I rekon you would be right about one thing. A GSP breeders dogs, especially in numerous amounts would be a little highly strung. Go to any pet persons house though, that has the time and gives the attention to one or two dogs, it makes a difference. GSP's just dont make good kennel dogs. Knowing you, all your wires are allowed to sleep on your bed
  13. Ruger was on my mobic for a while a few years ago.
  14. I cant shoot in anything but manual :p Auto confuses me
  15. Tambaqui, please dont refer to all GSPs as over the top and hyperactive, Most GSP's I know are active and intelligent. I've had four now and none have been over the top or hyperactive.
  16. Cute dogs! dont worry, i know lots and lots of people that call their cavs king charles cockers. Who cares
  17. I just realised i dont have any either rushes out to find someone to take photos
  18. Unfortunatly Labs/goldies, not sure which you are getting, grow so fast each week, so unless you are super strong, he/she will be pretty heavy. Im not sure you can get carry packs that big for large breeds. He/she will be uncomfortable in that kind of set up because of fairly large limbs even at 8 weeks. Dont be tempted to get him out into the wild just yet, make sure he has a steady temprement first otherwise he might just get too overwhelmed by barking dogs, etc, you may loose effective control over your other dog if puppy starts scrambling around.
  19. I dunno but how cute are beagle puppies? one of the cutest I think. I'd have to say one of the naughtiest breeds too
  20. I've had a couple of very talky male GSP's. Ruger aint so bad. I rekon its in the lines. Males seem to do it more I couldnt stop mine, except for saying BAHHH when they did it. If they winge in my garage during the day and I hear them, I bolt down the stairs or stomp to the door, and by the time I open it, they are on their beds with heads down.... I threw shoes or gumboots.
  21. Unfortunatly the Canon lenses are a bit plasticy sometmes, specially the 1.8. Sorry to hear of its death Shell. That is an awesome possy photo though!
