My boy has sensitive stomach and from time to time he has the VIP chicken and rice roll, they love it and no adverse affects...i say feed if they eat it...
-
How is that big dog of yours going Ash? Anyone who wants cheaper maleseb, try vetproductsdirect.com.au they deliver in about one or two days around australia.
-
Ahh, very boring so far, Ruger grabbed his, said, "WTF" then dropped it on the concrete and went, woohoo. Fly took hers gently and put it on the concrete and it cracked... They were however both very excited about what was inside and ate shell and all.

I dont know but Im going to go and find out what my two do with a whole egg and I'll report back.

Dont worry too much! might be an inflamed nerve or tendon from some twisting or rough play...it does really hurt sometimes....I'd go to a muscle or chiro guy before vet these days with things like that...all you seem to end up with at the vet is a huge bill and anti inflam's, however they do help. BTW if you have a choice, ask for Previcox...its great.

No, your not a sook! I feel the same way....today I was feeding the horse and looked down and saw a dead young chick on the ground. I looked up and way above was its nest...i was so depressed all day after that...felt so bad

When my two catch rabbits they either parade around like idiots talking with their mouth full or just bring the darn things to me...as if I want to eat it...ewwww. Mine would only eat the rotten, six-month-dead variety.. ;)

LOL, I ended up wearing most of it, I can immagine it tickles like hell going in her ear and Icopped a big spray of it when she shook her head. In relation to the 1 part to 30.....I just guessed that....I only had a ten mill syringe, so I kinda think she got a bit much poo to water ratio.... She's happily asleep on my bed now.

Well after you mentioned Maleseb, I went and bought some, arrived today, am going to try that now, I saw your suggestions about Cannisten cream....didnt have any of that in my top drawer.....lol....well if this doesnt work, I'll try that. Its sooooo thick and gooey at the moment, poor baby.

oooooh....interesting Dru...I'll look out for it.. thanks guys

Hey...just wondering if what my dog is suffering from is ear mites or ear canker? or something else. There is a lot of thick moist goo in both of her ears. Its unusual, I have never had a dog with it before. Its lasted a while now, Ive tried clavulox, medicated ear drops etc. when you manipulate the ear, you can hear moisture if that makes sense. Wondering if there is a good ear cleaner to use for this, its driving her and me crazy. Poor thing probably cant hear properly. Her little immune system is probably not all best as she has had two snake bites.

Hmmm...my male would also pee on me if I stood still long enough....he will pee on a bed he has ripped up, every square inch of foam....a shoe of mine dragged into the yard (how dare it not smell like him) anything you prop against a wall, anytyhing you leave outside.....the only thing he doesnt pee on is his girl dog..just everytime she pees...he pees on back door, in dog bowls, on kennels, beds.....list is endless.

at the girl dog flaunting her bits molasses.... Doberdave, its ok buddy. The sticking out bit is actually the wee wee bit. The bit just behind it is her real girly bits. Shes fine...and very cute too. Is she behaving? Im sure you will do just fine and are very sweet for being concerned.

My girl did ok on it, whereas every boy I gave it to didnt....too much poo out, so you have to feed too much of it to keep condition. I started my most recent youngster on Advance Puppy Growth Large breeds. I tell you that food is great. Kept both on it, but now cant afford it, Pedigree breeder formula was also great till it went out of supply due to change of packet. I started on Barko as it was a full 20kg bag and cheaper and what do you know, small poo, not much of it. Its what works best, trial and error.

you are all so funny. Dont worry, it wasnt the desexing that caused it, give him a full three to six months before urges dispurse and desexing takes effect. Hes at the exact age where urges are real....it doesnt always happen when their little 'things' come all the way out including his little knot at the end he may have just got particuarly exicted. It must be so strange for you being your first dog, dont worry, hes not a freak or anything....if you watch bitches that do NOT accept a dog even about to try it on, they really get cranky, just do that with a big NOOOOOOOOO with a deep growl in your voice and really startle him. or just throw him on the floor by scruff, that works too....lol -
North Richmond, Karen Hedberg. They dont charge too bad at all. Thats NSW by the way. Fly's twenty stitches to mend torn flap of skin wasnt too bad either, same with her snake bite treatments (both...lol)

Update on Roogie, no more strange coughing. I gave him some bread rolls two mornings in a row, as I know he hardly chews anything and thoiught it might take the grass seed down the hatch with it. Fingers crossed. Yes my first grass seed was close to $200 to remove they are expensive. When he got his first in the throat, it swelled up in one day, after having swallowed the suspected seed about two weeks earlier. it was a fluidy swelling and I was advised to give him half an asprin twice daily. This made him probably feel a bit better and bought the lump to harden near the surface, easier to locate seed I guess. Good luck anyone else who gets them...
-
Thats not good to hear! Funny, he is only gagging in the mornings. Yes they are terrible things, dont know how I can train during the times with grass seeds with retrieving etc. Ruger seems happy within himself though - currently in loungroom creating a terrible smell...

you know, I dont even know, I think they come out of that long spindly grass but they is everywhere, like bushy reserves etc. They really are spiky at the tip with a tail. They have miniscule claws that stick on and only go one way. They really get into a coat, even a short one, where they stick into the actual skin. Dam GSP's are prone to them as they run through thick bush being crazy stupid. And boy are mine crazy stupid....lol Still no gagging few hours later....

Last time was about a month ago. The vet was very lucky to pull it out via throat. Had a few small incisions. She gave it to me so Im sure she got it. He was on clavulox, finishedthem. Very lucky to have found it I think. He gagged a few times this morning, but now seems to have stopped. I am monitoring his eating and behaviour as he was quite off last time, which mostly went unnoticed until he was better andI realised just how rowdy he was. ( I musdt have forgotton) Im just hoping, it was something else and is gone. My other GSP had her twenty stitches removed today much to her and my relief!

One of my dogs has already had a grass seed removed from his throat after a nasty absys blew up. A costly removal at the vet with stitches and drains. He went running again the other day and I hate to say it but he sounds like he has another caught in his throat, he keeps gagging and afterwoods looks miserable. He runs with his dam mouth open and seems to attract the seeds. Does anyone else have this problem? Is it common? I hate to think he is going to get another absys. Short of not letting him go anywhere there isnt much i can do.
