Ummmmmm, gundog babies specially labs are really naughty.and can be destructive....off to school for your brothers puppy i think. You must with a capital M keep on top of a female labby youngster, this one sounds reallly smart, so its time for dog school....what she is doing is not unusual for a lab, they are a handfull. He may want to consider a pen with some toys for her during the day even for a time out situation, or fencing off areas with electric fencing where he doesnt want her to go. PS He has another three years at least of this!!

How funny. If one of mine get off the bed (yes they share a queen size bed) The other wont let it back on the bed so they come and wake me up to sort it out.... ;) Fly learnt this behaviour as she was taught by my older dog, fly taught ruger when he was young, so now he does it back to her.... I'd say Bella is just asserting her authority over him, he might be pushing her at the moment....It does sound funny though, i had to laugh.

personally I just think you like to argue. Agreed, i shouldnt have said punching (as i have already stated). Ahhhh look....how we correct our dogs is up to us in the end....how we see fit. Both my dogs are very obedient, but when i get home, they cant contain themselves and wrestle with each other right near me. They do the 'but swing' right into my legs.. All im doing, like you are with your knees, is saying, hey watch it you big brown clumsy mutts.. Im sure NONE of us that are that here (all completely dog obsessed) would abuse our dogs. Poor scope is obviously fed up as sometimes you get, sometimes its just a bit too much when everything else is going wrong, little things annoy us easily. Especially when you try so hard to nurture the good things out of them.

I forgot that part... by that time, my dog would have wondered off, bored with it all...

And kneeing your dog isnt worse? I could exert much more force by kneeing my dog than giving them a slap. I shouldnt have said punch. Im 49kgs, my punch is a slap. Why are kids so ferral these days? because some uni graduate decided that it was abuse to smack your child....what do you want me to do when my dogs run into me, knock me over, say, 'please dont do that, go to the naughty corner?

Iv'e punched mine a million times....if they can run into me, i can run into them....sorry, but i can see where scope is coming from....we arent talking about beating them to death here...at least we dont act like their mothers or pack leaders and bite them....lol..

hi buddy, sorry to hear this, give the previcox a few days to work, you should see an improvement in say three or four days while she is on it. Its good stuff.

nope your doin fine job, just keep up that pain management, seek some good advice from a reputable vet perhaps restrict his exercise to lead only and see how he pulls up afterwoods....they may also recommend a anti inflam such as metacam or ppppp i cant remember. Oh yea its previcox...
