Horror First Night - 8 Week Old Ridgeback Puppy

OMG I wants it -
sorry, not really funny but i can picture it. Better not let her go again I'd say she was interested in something when you took her away from home, and she was fixated on it. Could have been dinner. She may also have had a fright. You wont know till you take her back to the park. Just see how she behaves.

OMG how cute are you?? This pup has you well trained already He will get most of the nutrition he needs to grow in that dry food. The rest is up to you, whatever you wish in the way of meaty raw bones. Next you will be on here saying, OMFG does this bulldozer ever stop digging??

you could probably find out from his microchip, some people dont change the chip details when they purchase. Most of the food you are giving him nutrient wise will be going straight through him. If you must, persist with the supercoat puppy if he is tollerating that, rather than change it now. If you are able to, feed him three times a day. Small amount of the dry, soaked, in the morning, probably one cup. Midday feed similar perhaps with some natural yoghurt on top. You could also supplement this with chicken wings or lamb flaps. Evening feed soak a cup of dry food and add some GOOD quality mince to this. Good luck. PS if your dog is a guts, even when it is an adult, always add a bit of water or soak their dry food, it may help prevent bloat.

Why Is She Scooting Along On Her Bum? She's Wormed
rugerfly replied to Eileen's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
is she a toy breed? does she have long hair? it may just be an irritation or it could more than likely be her anal glands annoying her. -
because of what sas posted, i think a pup should be in your home by ten weeks. But this does depend on the breeder and how the pup is socialised etc.

its a tricky thing. a quick BAH and a stomp of the foot if you sneak up behind him perhaps whilst he is barking. My neighbour just bought a cintronella collar for her lab x. From four hours of barking in the afternoon to nothing. Total bliss. Good luck
-
YEP probably getting to that cocky age where he has discovered his voice and hormones.... No, im not sure if its a bichon thing, but perhaps really get ontop of it now. Make sure he knows its wrong to carry on like that. Be consistant.
-
Was it drontil? Some dogs cant tollerate it. We have three bichon's across the road that dont stop barking when they are outside. Usually at nothing much at all, but their owner keeps them inside at night thank god.

Also, its time to claim back your posessions and reduce his space. Re toilet train by confining him to a crate till he needs to pee. put him out. Rinse and repeat ;)

how bout a belly band when he's inside the house. HE will still try to do it when desexed.

I bought a prong collar from Steve at K9 for Fly. Hers continually came off and eventually when she was off lead she came back without it one day. (i blame the cat that was hanging off her head) No idea how it happens as it was fitted and everything. ETA it was scary when it did come off when I was walking her, but she stopped straight away.

My GSP Bitch is still a bit of a submissive pee'er at nearly 8 years old. She did it moreso as a youngster. Dont worry too much about it. As for the peeing in the crate, just make sure she doesnt have a UTI as they can suffer from it quite a bit consistantly when they are young. The UTI can last for a while so best to perhaps keep an eye on how much she pees outside also. Your girl is just being cautious about how she approaches other people, as she would in a pack situation. She may have been the submissive pup. Tell your friends to ignore her behaviour and reward her when she is calm. She will eventually grow out of this crawling around business. Come in to the GSP breed thread and post her photos!!!

roogie and fly are a breed that have them removed as in the breed standard. Im kinda glad as they are the type of dog that get into things in the bush.
