Update on my 1st litter from Boots - they are just over 2 weeks now:
-
Just an update on my guys. Boots babies are now 11 days old and all have doubled their birth weight. Daisy's baby is 4 days old and is gaining weight each day as well. Daisy is recovering from the C-Section well and Boots now has charge of all the babies so Daisy can dry up her milk and just spend time taking it easy.
-
Pic of the little girl taken today. She is a strong little bub and doing really well.
-
Well we have just got home from the vet and an emergency c-section. We have one baby - a little girl. The others could not be revived.
-
Still waiting for litter No 2 here. Daisy was due on Thursday (from the 1st mating) but seems in no hurry to have her babies.
-
Not sure what breed you have but with an attitude like that please don't ever contact me to get one of my babies. I put my heart and soul in to each and every puppy I breed and a quick update is all it takes to let me know that the puppy is going OK.

A few more pics..

My Boots babies are now 6 days old..

LMWS I am so Sorry. I lost one of my girls in Feburary along with her 5 unborn babies - my girl started labour and then just keeled over and stop breathing. I spent weeks in tears (and still get upset about it now). The pain will get better with time - enjoy the bubs you managed to get and remember the good times.
-
We are down to 4 babies - lost another boy. The remaining 4 are doing really well and will hopefully be OK. I have another litter due in 2 days so crossing fingers (and toes) that they will be all fine.

Unfortunately we had a night from hell losing 1M and 1F. I still have 5 babies, 4 are doing really well and one little one is hanging in there.
-
Well Boots came right on time. 7 puppies - 5M and 2F. Will take her to the vet this morning to make sure there are no more hidden in there. Will post pics later.

She is due today (11th) which is 63 days from the 1st mating. Current temp 36.6

I've never done the temperature thing before but decided I would try this time. Can anyone tell me what it is meant to drop to 12-24hrs before? Well we had Daisy's Xray today and although not as clear as Boots we can see 5 babies and the vet thinks he can see 2 more that may be puppies. Between the 2 girls I am going to have a very busy Xmas Happy to post her xray if anyone wants to see it.
-
My two. Boots has 5 days to go and Daisy 11 days.
-
Exactly. In a Pug they are usually accurate (due to small size litters). With Boots we counted 8 but as they are so squished the vet did say that they might be one hiding we can't see. I like to Xray so I know how many (minimum) to expect. My vet charges $50 to do an xray so it is not expensive and I think worth doing.
-
Not sure if you can see the bubs but here is Boots Xray.
-
Well we just got back from the vet. Boots has 8 bubs in there. Due next Friday 11th December. Biggest litter of Pugs I have had is 6, so raising 8 will be a challenge!!
-
My girl has an Xray about an hour ago. She is 6 weeks and 6 days and we can see 5 puppies clearly with another 1 or 2 possibles. The vet wants to re-xray next week so we can be sure.
-
Updated Pics of my two girls. Boots is now 6 weeks along and Daisy 5 weeks.
