Thanks Powerlegs for your reply. According to the invoices, she only had urinalysis lH, PCV-lH & a scan What does lH mean? She'd been treated for this in both November & again in December. I was considering changing vets but now this issue has returned , I dont know if i should stay with her old vet.

This is the 3rd time in probably the last 12 months that my CKCS has had blood stain in her urine. She is 8 &1/2 years old & has been treated by the vet both times preceding today's occurrence. She's had bladder & kidney scans which show no stones & was prescribed Cepphalexin 300mg She shows no signs of discomfort I'll get her to the vet again but thought someone here might have an idea what this could be apart from an UTI

There's a photo of the fence in this link My link. The gap the child had to go out of her way to even climb an embankment & low retaining wall to protrude through that fence. 3 dogs on one side of a high metal fence with 8 children on the other... I bet those dogs were feeling tormented This region is rife with Sydney funnel web & red back spiders so why hasn't that child been educated in reaching through such ideal conditions

This must be terrible for both the victim & her family as well as the dog & its family. All three dogs have been removed from the property by the Rangers. Kids do the most stupid things. That child found a gap in the landscaping where a sleeper had fallen over . There were about 8 kids playing there & under adult supervision.

AN eight-year-old girl has lost a hand and remains in hospital in an unknown condition after she was attacked by a dog in front of other children in Valentine on Saturday afternoon. Police were called to a house on The Park Chase, in Valentine Gardens Estate, just after 3pm and found the girl with injuries below her right elbow. yay the magistrate denied him his appeal . "A Hunter Valley man has lost his appeal against his jail sentence for the brutal bashing of several puppies. Last month Nathan Thompson was sentenced to 18 months jail with a year non parole for killing nine of an 11 puppy litter at Kurri Kurri. Newcastle Local Court heard he knew of humane ways to get rid of the puppies but bashed them instead. The 26-year-old appealed to the District Court. Today the judge dismissed his appeal, rejecting claims he had been threatened in jail and noting that he showed little remorse. Judge Helen Syme rejected that Thompson was on drugs or mentally ill at the time. Thompson argued a friend told him to "knock the dogs on the head", prompting Judge Syme to say that did not justify the brutal killings. She also questioned why that same friend who gave Thompson the dogs was not investigated. A distraught Thompson broke down in the dock, telling his mother "I love you, happy birthday" as he was led away." My link

The puppy killer has appealed his sentence severity pffft The judge has adjourned the hearing until 3.30pm today to examine the RSPCA report. ".....A clearly distressed Thompson cried during proceedings, wiping away tears in the dock as he said to his mother, 'I love you'...." yet it was he that ignored the fear & pain in the puppies eyes which had been taken from their mother then bashed to death.

Thanks for your replies. Yes, she is overweight so I'll address that problem now, decreasing food whilst increasing walks & see if that makes a difference. She's been a snorer since moving here with me 5 years ago when she was only 6kg & emaciated. She's now 7yrs old & must be 10 to 11kg

What can one do for a dog with sleep apnea. After just reading the symptoms a human has & was Dx with apnea , I suspect that's what my dog has. She's a great snorer & stops breathing when asleep , waking up gagging. If I was to get a vet to call in, just what could he do for her?

They have changed the date, time and place for this court mention. It is now the Wednesday the 25th MARCH...that is this Wednesday. The rally group is meeting at the park opposite the police station at 8.30, with a call going out to make placards and banners. Content that will depict the plight of the puppies, the expected term but nothing derogatory of defaming. There is another rally for 9.30, Thursday the 26th at Newcastle court. This is the day he is to be charged.

Have a couple of addresses if you would like to write a letter concerning Mr Tony Brown, who is the owner of the mother of those puppies. he has another bitch due to give birth to another litter of Bull Arab pups. there is a wave of protest letters bombarding the local inspectors of various welfare leagues requesting the removal of ALL the female dogs in this mans “care” If the pups dont sell....... well we now know what happens to them. he is a puppy farmer. apparently he has small breeds as well. This really bothers me "Thompson would be seeking an intensive corrections order rather than full-time custody, the court heard " Such a crime deserves full time custody. That monster should not be allowed to mix with the public.

Herald UPDATE 12:20pm: Nathan Thompson has agreed to an order stopping him from owning, acquiring, purchasing or possessing any animal for ten years. On the strength of that order he was granted by magistrate Caleb Franklin, who said that although he had a significant criminal record, there was no history of him failing to attend court when required. He will be sentenced on April 28.

How cool is that set of wheels.. much more stylish then the babies pram that I push now for " just in case". I feel he's getting almost enough exercise now for the average dog.
