Crate inside during the night, outside during the day (or inside but not crated during the day). I don't see the point of bringing a dog inside only to be crated and then taken back outside rather than be allowed to wander and join the family.

Erny, whatever you do - you and Kal have the love and prayers of all of us here. Trust your gut feelings - they have served you well so far.

Thinking of you both Pampa. Poor thing, she mustn't understand why this is happening. Hopefully it will be over soon and you'll get a happy result out of it.

Personally, Minnie eats before me, after me, at the same time as me etc. She eats in her crate - door shut. She also gets some quiet time in the crate after dinner - the amount of time changes depending on how I feel She sleeps on my bed. I haven't ever seen any leadership issues with her at all - and I got her when she was 8 1/2. Edited to add - when I get my new puppy however, I will be enforcing 'leadership' and it will sleep in a crate etc, not on the bed, until after we have a good pack relationship sorted out and puppy knows I am boss.

My female Lowchen does it constantly I'll be on the couch, she'll be on the other side of the room, she'll come running over, jump up, stick her face in mine and *BURP*. Ewwwww!!! She is so not a lady

My girl has yeasty ears that are really bad - we're doing various courses of treatment, but one thing I was told is that do NOT use any other ear cleaner with the surolan. It has to be used on its own (I had to do twice a day for 10 - 15 days). Now we use Leo 2 - 3 times a week. I also pluck her ears every night - she doesn't like it so I just do it a little at a time and they stay clear always. She rarely rubs her ears anymore and there's not much smell - I have to stick my nose in her ear and really sniff to smell it. I'm hoping one day it will be completely clear! The introduction of rice and grains into a dog's diet is very recent. I personally do not believe that they require rice and grains for fibre. Especially not if providing an adequate raw diet. Rice is used mostly to bulk out food to make it more filling for the animal without providing much nutritional value. It is also very bland so yes, good for upset tummys as you advised.

Haven't posted much as there hasn't been any news, but have been thinking of you and Kal Erny. All fingers and paws in this house crossed that the tests show something treatable - and there's a lot of them!!!

Oh god Sas. I am so sorry Thank god he found you and got to live out the rest of his life with you. Such a hard decision and one that would have torn you both apart. I am thinking of you. RIP Turbo.

I'd go for the 11 years experience personally... Especially if they could keep my dog in show clip (lion clip) even though she's not a show dog. I don't think a franchise would know how to do that...
