  1. Excessive licking can be a sign of anxiety or pent up energy. Giving him more excercise might help, or train him by ignoring or walking away when he licks and praising him at times when he's acting calm. You could also train him to lick on command by using a keyword like "lick" or "kiss" ;) Dog's don't tend to like citrus, so you could use a lemon or orange soap or body wash. That might help.
  2. It's a nice photo and I can see why it's comforting. The temptation is for a reason... it's time for a beautiful new pup in your life
  3. Good job :) I'd buy a wagon, far less hands on. If I tried to make a crate it would last 24hrs max.
  4. That's not bad, was it shot from the hip or a tripod? Canon's are really good with a low ISO, and you could easily reduce the grain if you have Lightroom.
  5. It must be so nice being bought a 70D from someone Even if it is yourself...! I assume the 3 shot function is "HDR"? 3 different exposures in the same shot.
  6. How on earth did we get by in the days before the internet!?? I imagine most breeders aren't overly tech savy and may have a friend of a friend who created and manages the website. Updating photos may seem trivial but realistically might not be. I imagine they still direct people to their website because in this day and age if you haven't got a website you're not worth dealing with, which is silly when it comes to dog breeders.
  7. Looks like Dogservations is back in stock - http://www.bookgoose.com.au/PriceFind/Dogservations-Serena-Hodson/9780733632358/ The copy I ordered from Booktopia 2 months ago never arrived, which is odd seeing as they now have it in stock. I think I'll order a few more as Christmas gifts :)
  8. Somebody posted this on Serena's page, which I thought was beautiful and very true:
  9. Very sad news - I read on Serena's Facebook page that Ralph lost his battle with cancer yesterday. He died peacefully surrounded by those who loved him
  10. Change insurance companies, then make a claim a few weeks from now. Say you spilt it... :D What's under the carpet? Wooden floor or concrete?
  11. Exactly my thoughts. I'd say they were Australian run and managed, not Australian owned. But I don't think it matters too much, if people wish to buy a food that supports the Australian economy then they're still doing so. As for the poll, I'm one of the few that voted no. I'd rather by a decent food regardless of where it was made (as long as standards are met). But saying that, if there were two decent products on the shelf for a similar price, one Australia, one international, then I would buy the Aussie food. I grew up in England, pretty much all the food came from overseas...!
  12. When I see photos of Singapore I'm amazed, but all I can remember about being there was being too hot and sweating constantly. I went to the zoo at night hoping it would be cooler, alas no. Then again, I went there from an English climate so perhaps wasn't prepared. Great photos
  13. A beautiful Golden Retriever called Misty, named after the golden mists of Trevaunance in Cornwall (where I was born). She passed away when I was 15, and since then my parents have had a stone statue of her in their garden where she was buried. Good memories.
  14. MPW sell it with free delivery -> clicky
  15. How rural are you? What are Esperance and Albany like for sourcing pet food? Is it just your average supermarket brands? How costly is it getting stuff freighted from Perth? I imagine you buy in bulk?
  16. Yep, that makes sense. I believe Mars completed the acquisition a couple of months ago.
  17. Glad you got it sorted, things like that are frustrating..!
  18. Yep, I'd be interested to know. Possibly because it's cheap?
  19. Lots of benefits with kelp. As said, it's high in iodine so good for the thyroid, but it's also good for digestion, rich in iron so good for the blood and immune system. Apparently it's also good for warding off fleas...
  20. Great shot of the wheel, that worked really well. As for the Story Bridge - Multi-coloured is fantastic
