Where Did Your Breed's Name Originate?

Catbrit, we're picking up our puppy next Sunday as well! That's exciting news for you , congrats on your brittany! Exactly one more week left :)
-
Another four weeks before a long awaited blue merle Aussie girl will join our family! It's going to be a long few weeks :p

To be honest I'd be uncomfortable with sending a photo of myself to someone I was not completely familiar with, but the breeder sounds responsible to have asked so many questions. I'd probably send a photo of myself from a distance (not a close up lol) or in a natural photo. I think that photos of the home and yard are perfectly fine, though. Friend her on Facebook, get her email, and I think FaceTime/Skype is a really great option :) Hope you find the perfect breeder/puppy!

Those photos are stunning! What a photogenic pup :D -
The pups from the litter we've got our hearts set on are born! <3 Hopefully one of them will be our potential Aussie puppy - our family is very excited for the (hopefully!) new arrival :D There aren't any definites yet, though!

I hope no one minds be posting this here! I have nowhere else to put it hehe I apologize for the size!

I am so sorry to hear this </3 I don't know you or Leo personally but from what I see he was a wonderful dog and soulmate. I can't imagine how it would feel like if my kelpie died, and I had only had her for two years. I can't imagine ten years of love and loyalty lost. Rest in peace Leopuppy </3

I really want to go and I have been set on going for months and just realized that I would be busy on Saturday! Such a disappointment - it was going to be my first dog show as well. Hope you have a great time there! I wanted to check out the Aussies and Shelties c:

I think it also depends on the temperament/activity level of the dog. A lesser energy border collie (I know it sounds impossible xD) may be good for a family - still of course very active but not going to be bouncing off the walls of your house in frustration. A good breeder should be able to match the right level energy dog to suit your family - since your kids are pretty young you'd want a fairly calm dog too, not one that would knock your children around. Early training is essential - you must lay proper boundaries for your BC before they find the loopholes in your plan ;) Every dog isn't exactly the same - so I hope you find the perfect dog for you and your family!

A Follow On Thread For Those Who Now Have Their Puppy
ninaky replied to julesluvscavs's topic in Puppy Chat
I keep emailing the breeder and asking her over and over again about the pups. I feel so pushy, but I'm so darn excited xD -
Sorry Miss Squish! We didn't get on last year's litter either, but this year timing is better :) Some things happen for a reason, and perhaps the puppy you'll eventually get is the perfect one <3

I loved the little junior handlers demonstration. I thought they were all so cute xD
