  1. Just the individual winner of the World Cup. Here you go, I have found a short general video: (um um um, cannot link it - located in youtube, under heading Crufts 2012 obedience): Day 4 - World Cup Obedience Part 13 Interviews - Crufts 2012 Hope this helps? Pedigree of dog: http://www.huntinglabpedigree.com/pedigree.asp?id=13402
  2. Is it possible to shift crate next to your bed? Hopefully you are a light sleeper and notice subtle changes in dog. Put reminder sign on fridge, FEED pooper in AM.
  3. RubyStar, would it be worthwhile asking the club/DogsWest to enter, non competing?
  4. Well done everyone. Lowest score wins? Petra won? Know her "field" bred labrador pedigree very well. Having had the opportunity to view sire dam, and three of four grandparent during my travels. Very (let us say )....sporting shape body......active, intelligent, high desire labradors.
  5. Wow. Thats wonderful. Has an Australian team entered in the past? Tell us more....Kavik? Anyone? We should have had a DOL fund raiser! Quarantine from the UK was altered from 1/1/12. Are the team affected by the longer quarantine time in England?
  6. Like to read the breeds who do well. Any result links? I did google but could only find show/bench results.
  7. Seems as though there are no 15 breeds to be vet checked entered? I am so bad!!! Fit for function!!! Oi Oi Oi!! Go Australians!!! Oi Oi Oi.
  8. RW is good, isn't he!!! A real dog man. I will you send a PM or email.
  9. Working sheepdog. A border collie who isn't KC or ISDS registered Thanks AGAIN and again and again!! Hey just noted Petra (US) with her American field bred labrador.
  10. Typed too quickly for me...thanks again. Any idea was breed a W/S is?
  11. How exciting. Thanks for the news. Any idea of a link to schedule or results (as they happen).
  12. By the sounds of your posts he has simply gained confidence. Further recall training is required with distractions. I have a multiple dog household, and know just how difficult it can be to focus/train/FULLY CONCENTRATE on one dog. You foster? Good on ya!!!
  13. Is anyone aware how the Australian team is getting on at Crufts? I am absolutely sure there are computer savvy users than me, who could locate the results?
  14. Motel booked!! We are coming!! Had a nice second trial of the year last weekend. Only competed with Funkie: 1st in Novice Saturday, and 4th Sunday (she did not see 2nd and 3rd birds on Sunday), luckily been working on blinds/straight lines so she kept going, as I pondered whether to blow whistle and help. Her litter brother won Restricted. Her litter sister won All Age. Her other competing litter sister, in All age, finished on Sunday also. See ya in Canberrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaa
  15. Dasha, have you seen any in NSW who look like this:
  16. My other two boys have been used in the breeding program also. I know some are (Customs) operational and a couple of resulant progeny, used in their breeding program as studs (as are the bitches). I should imagine they remain in Victoria for easier access. I think I am right...I will check their location if you like, next telephone call or visit.

  18. Yes, Erny I have this rather athletic girl. I am very encouraged and happy with the litter. Back to topic, I wonder of the difficulty of scent detection through the dog clubs. Will be interesting to observe. But then again, I even like sheep herding competitions. Tragic working dog devoteeeeeeee, I am. ha!
  19. This youngster is one of my breedings, a few of her siblings are with AQIS. Dasha, are you still an AQIS handler?
  20. Thanks Rubystar and FHRP. Specialist confirmed yesterday, I am doing well.!!! I am so lucky thus far, given the lung cancer surgery in July 2010. Canberra eh? Good idea+++++. Returned home via specialist appt, after a week away from home training. I cannot be happier with Funkie my youngster. Was planning on implanting one of my four US frozen boys(hundreds of hours choosing those studs I tell ya, plus an extra flight over), next season..but thinking training and trialling might be a more fun option. Decisions decisions decisions, glad to be around, to make 'em!!
  21. Quick question, where is the closest dog friendly accomodation?
  22. My lab does all of this. LOVES carrying around items in her mouth, loves playing tug with other dogs and myself. She actually really loves to be chased carrying a toy. She will bring me a toy/sock/stick (whatever naughtiness she can find lol) and try to initiate a game of tug by shoving the item in my lap, near my hand etc. But I would say she prefers food over tugging. She is food obsessed. Can you train that out of labs  Hey PM the pedigree, from the photos, she does not look show/bench bred. BTW, I always say, a labrador needs to be dead at least a month, before they realise they cannot eat. That is, except my American field bred labrador. He is Mr Fussy and a slow eater.
  23. The first trial of the year in Victoria was great fun. I was still debating with myself on Friday lunchtime whether or not I was well enough to attend the trial. Heat especially humidity causes fluid retention. Medication helps a little. Camping on site was not a sensible option. Rang motel and there were vacancies, packed quickly and we were off. Funky my youngster in her first trial. Great novice tests fair with wonderful sighted "marks". Variety of competitors, imported UK working linelabradors, my other bitch (Pink) who lives with another, Funky, imported US field labradors, and of course dear Em with Spotted devil. More than half the field were experienced triallers with a young dog in their first trial. Pink my girl: 1st Funky her daughter 2nd Wooo hooo. She emptied her bowel big time in the second run. Bad dog!! Sunday another great day, for Funky. Emptied her bowel, AGAIN, this time in the first run. 2nd again!!! Funky's litter sister came second in all age, Sunday. Good girls!! NSW, thinking about competing in the Easter trial. Keen again!!!
  24. No use worrying until and IF your dog displays symptoms. In some breeds there is a strong family history of epilepsy. As a result considered inherited. Ask her breeder, if the dam or sire of her bitch was affected? Obviously she and closely related siblings should not be bred. PS Unfortunately there is no DNA test currently available for canine epilepsy.
