Actually, it won't. Two pups can do twice the damage of one and few trainers would ever recommend getting two pups at once. I meant the crying at night and such. That's all. Griffons are beeeewdifuls. I know a few people with them. Plus, you can get some brown felt and make ewok costumes for them. Hardly feminine BAHAHA. There's a famous Griffon on fb and instagram Digby Van Winkle. HE IS THE CUTEST and very well behaved.

I was advised the same, always supervised. I have an american. He gets chicken necks and wings now. If he starts to swallow without chewing we are going to carcasses. Also vet advised. They say the treat should be bigger than the dogs head to start and removed when they can swallow it. Pigs ears are FABULOUS for sometimes treats. He gets them at puppy pre school, when he's being an obnoxious turd and wont settle at night when it's 'quiet time' or when we want him to lounge with us and watch a movie. They are his movie treats.

It took 3-4 months for Big to like Little even though he allowed Little to suckle from him. Bahaha to males, oh yes killer. I think Little *might* come around. It took him 3 years to actively seek the attention of my partner and not run away when he approached for pats. Now he will come up for lap sits every few months. The fact he lets him sniff is a good sign. We also spray feliway on Vinnie's collar before we allow him near them which is the cat version of adaptil.

Certainly is no forcing. They have the fireplace and all the surrounds to get up on. They can get up onto the beds and lounge away from him too. He doesn't spend time with them unsupervised.

We've had Vinnie for 7 weeks. While the cats don't HATE him, they aren't fond of him. Big cat who's 5 years old and a bit skitzy runs away from him when he approaches and hides up high. Little cat who's 4 and pretty chilled out will let him sniff a bit and quickly trot away if he makes too much noise/movement. Vinnie desperately wants to be their friend. He doesn't bite and is coming around with approaching calmer. He looks so upset when they ditch him. When winter comes I know the cats will be sorely missing out on snuggling with him as they'll both fit between his legs against his tummy and I don't want the area in front of the fire to be a wrestling match! Did your pets finally come around with a new addition?

We were looking at getting a frenchie,english bulldog or boston terrier for the low energy side of it and being able to be left inside. Bostons and frenchies are cool little dudes. Clowns and totally boss in their attitude. As puppies I'd probably crate or confined to a room until they learn not to chew everything. Very low grooming maintenance but he would need to be aware of the vetinary side and certainly get pet health insurance. They don't cope well with really low and high temps so options of keeping them warm and cool (like the room confined to being aircon or leaving the ducted on) If he's worried about pup being lonely, get a pair. They'll keep each other company for the time he's gone and the puppy stage will be much easier.

Grr so on Sunday night Vinnie fell off the bed and it's a high double walled thing. He was asleep on the floor before I got to him bahaha end of his sleeping with us adventures.

Research a clicker. I have started randomly giving treats with Vinnie and he is 13 weeks. I have the treats in my pocket and will get some in my hand when he isn't looking. However he has learned the hand motions for me having a treat in my hand as part of the command. This isn't terrible as he will now sit and come by me using that hand action. He could never see the treat, just the way my hand was. I was shown to get the dog to do the command by hovering the treats to make him move so he could smell and not see. So for example 'sit' is my hand in a duck head shape. 'Come' is my hand in the same shape upsidedown palm up. 'Down' is my hand in a duck head shape moving to the floor so he sits first and then lays down. 'Stay' is a stop signal hand with my thumb and forfinger together. My treats are cut up tiny though lol.

I use natures gift roo and chicken for small dogs for short training sessions or when I've let him in the yard and need him to come inside. For longer ones I'll use cheese (what that dog will do for cheese!) and he prefers plastic cheese so I just tear it up. I use his kibble from dinner. He's just started on raw food so he goes a bit mental for lamb. 4 paws food from the cold section. I break that into tiny pieces and freeze in handful sized portions to last a week.

Our vet advised that we can update the status when we changed our cat's details over. The scary thing was how easy it was to change the details for him over as we weren't the original owners and didn't have any paperwork. He was an adoption from a friend in need. The vet we use now also told us the same thing and not to return the first vet as they are probably dodge. So happy they had their pet returned, the thought of losing mine is incomprehensible. When I think I've lost one of my cats (they are inside only) I go a bit mental only for them to slink out of a hidey hole a few hours later.

Vinnie sleeps in his crate in our room so if he does a wee before bed he's allowed to come for cuddles before being put away. I'm against dogs being in my bed purely because I sleep like crap with my partner there flopping around let alone sharing with a dog. However Vinnie will shift to the very end of the bed when he's ready to sleep. He doesn't have bad manners and will have a cuddle and move away. Last night I left him at the end of the bed just to see and I ended up moving him into the crate after 3 hours. He didn't move an inch!! I'm not keen on him being there when he spends most of his time outside and gets bigger. He'll still be allowed to sleep in our room on cold winter nights on his portable bed or in a bigger crate. We have 2 cats, one sleeps next to my pillow and the other between us in the winter. They aren't friends with Vinnie yet lol. One is mildly interested but the other is not a fan hhajhaa. I think the cats will spend the winter sleeping around the fireplace so Vinnie can be in with us.

Worked with our neighbours. One has an aussie bulldog and the other a lab. When they start barking at me I just yell out a friendly 'Hello Bundy/Cato!' and they settle. They also barked at Vinnie but a quick play and sniff sorted that too.

Is there anywhere we can get stats that we can show a clear correlation to the introduction of bsl laws and the bite incidents? Possibly even show the rise and fall of specific breed attacks against registered ownership. I'd bet the amount of attacks don't change or go up and the registration of said breeds either dramatically increases showing more of a saturation of that dog in the community which would automatically jump the bites for that breed OR they significantly drop showing that these dogs are owned by numpties/people being forced into hiding. What about stats of how many complaints of dangerous dogs were actually investigated and found to be correct. Compare those to attacks and I also bet it hasn't changed anything. Along with how many complaints are allocated per person or how many staff they would need to complete all work compared to how many they have. Showing that adding more work that won't be completed is a way to show public safety is at risk. We all know the dogs that are focused in these laws are owned by more people depending on stigma attached to them and it changes as we do. More people own bull breeds now than rotties and gsd. But if we can show stats that can't back up this then it has to go back to dog specific to protect public safety.

I would also be as passionate if it wasn't a potential or actual target to my dog and prefered breeds. ALL dogs are as valuable as another.

Agreed, even if you don't own a breed likely to be put on this list - the title has gotten you to click and be aware. EVERYONE should be concerned and making action to this. It effects EVERYONE in the community. An extremely valid point has been maid by Melzawelza. Councils are state owned and therefore funded by the government. Government regulated bodies simply don't have the money to employ adequate staffing levels to complete all work given within the highest of standard. The quote is 'not gold plating service any longer' which means they believe they can do the bare minimum and are focused on service recovery rather than preventing potential issues. Trust me, I work in one of these places. So how that effects everyone has been mentioned. Rather than actioning dangerous dog reports on ALL dogs they'll only go for the bigger breeds or when they seriously injure/kill a person. Singular and repetitive minor attack reports will be pushed aside. Rangers will be busy looking for dogs that fit the description rather than looking for dogs unattended and causing public issue. They wont be able to monitor already registered dangerous and restricted dogs so those who belong to lax owners pose a greater risk to the community. Dog owner of any breed or not, this is everyone's issue.

He only gets 1/4 tablet in the morning and night. He always has a nap after breakfast and he gets it before bed. If it makes him drowsy it wouldn't matter as he sleeps at those times anyway. He's pretty hyper so my vet advised against anything else for the time being. She said to watch him as phenergan can make them more hyper but he's fine.

The monsters are not under our beds, there are inside of us. I feared for this. I fear for myself and anyone with a bull or mastiff breed/type dog. Even other breeds come under their model of 'dangerous dog breed' that was released recently. How can anyone look into Bonnie's eyes and not see her soul. The picture used SCREAMS to me that she was a dog who just wanted someone to love her as unconditionally as she loved them. Give her a chance. I'm going to give Vinnie extra cuddles from now on as it seems my time may be limited with him if this is passed. Even at 12 weeks the discrimination and recoil we have suffered is beyond a joke. I already know of the eroneous complaints made about dogs that are actioned. It only takes one.

I got the same info in re to bullbreeds with allergies specifically if they have large amounts of or are entirely white. My Vinnie is white with a few tan spots on his ears and has a contact allergy with grass. Poor muppet was scratching till he bled. I give him phenergan at breakfast and dinner, I wash him in oats every 2-3 days. If he's scratching a bit more than normal I'll rinse him down to get anything off him and it settles him. He also loves a frozen facewasher and his narnie. Narnie is this weird banana toy with rope arms/legs/hair I got from coles.

I throw food about too in the yard when we are out there. I love to see his tail wagging as he goes about finding it or bashing around the ball. Know I am doing a good thing.

Does he have teeth problems? The beauty of raw is the amount of chewing which needs doing!! Lots of meaty bones, and large chunks of food :) No. I plan to give him RMBs but I'd prefer to mince and smoosh it into these bowls when he has to be fed when we aren't there. I'd rather monitor the bigger chunks and bones just in case.

My mutt Bronson was an heelerxbullterrierxamstaff and he was 17 when he died. He passed away in his sleep after chasing around his yard mate all day. They spayed her 2 weeks later and found out she was pregnant! I was 18 and 12 years later I think of him every day. Still chokes me up. There's a lot in Vinnie that reminds me of him, kind of feel like Bronnie helped us pick him. The oldest I've seen was a chi who was 21. She died in her sleep.

I bought the Jerhigh when we got Vinnie and then reading here I don't buy it any more. I got the nature's gift and he loooooves them. For training treats I cut those up into quarters so they last longer or I just use the kibble he's having if it's a meal time. Cheese however is the THING for him. He just has to hear the packaging and goes a bit mental. He has to take phenergan twice a day for a grass allergy so I hide it in cheese. He'll even sit without command for cheese including when it has tablets in it.

I mixed his meat roll with some yogurt this morning. I put the kibble at the bottom and then mashed the wet mix on top. Bahaha he was so perplexed at having to lick it out. Tail was wagging like a mofo though. He loves his new puzzle ball and uses his paws and mouth to get the bits out. Clever pup.

It doubled the time it usually takes. When I start raw and mincing I'll be smooshing it in there. That will take even longer. I've also got one of those fancy schmancy timed feeders. Purely while he has 3 meals a day and we're at work so he doesn't scoff breakfast and lunch within half an hour bahhaa.
