  1. He looks like a black bear. I just want to hug him :)
  2. (I wasn't sure if I should start my own thread. I think this is the right place to post this.) Oh my goodness, I have butterflies as I'm typing this; I'm so excited. I have some very good news... I'm getting a Pug puppy within the next three months :D This is the mum. Isn't she pretty?
  3. Tomorrow it will be a month since Grover died and I still can't believe it. Pughugs to those who need it.
  4. Aaahahahahaha That is so cute! They're both gorgeous :)
  5. Louis has nice eyes like George Harrison  :)
  6. Grover used to scoot as well but he would sit in one spot and go round in circles. He did this while we were out of course, never at home. My vet said there was nothing wrong with him; he just liked doing it! eta I wish I had gotten a video of Grover scooting because it looked like he was break dancing.
  7. And once he suddenly stopped and did a massive poo in front of a café in Daylesford, one Sunday morning, in front of all these champagne Buddhists drinking their chai lattes... You know those pretentious spiritual types? eta Oh and I didn't have his bags with me and I had to go inside and ask and it was such a big deal *rolls eyes*.
  8. I hate it when they burp in your face  Oh yuck!
  9. And he was really rude when he went to other people's houses. He ate the dog's/cat's food, stole the toys and played too rough with the dog.
  10. Oh I have one about doggie school! Grover was so stubborn that he lay flat on the floor throughout the entire term and he only got up at the end of each class when the instructor yelled "Free!" so he could play with the other dogs. They gave him a certificate anyway.
  11. Grover stole a focaccia from someone's backyard once.
  12. I would die. I thought of something else... Once in summer while we were out on a walk at night he got loose from his lead and he crashed someone's party. He went in the front door and out the back where everyone was in the pool. The people didn't mind and they gave him little hot dogs.
  13. Have we done this before? I'm not sure but I thought it might be fun. I'll start but I can't think of any funny/good ones at the moment. I'm sure they'll come to me as the thread goes on. Grover liked to roll in other people's Agapanthus plants, out the front of their houses, while on a walk in summer. It was embarrassing because the people would be in their front gardens and they would say "What a lovely little dog!" and then he would roll away to his heart's content. I think he liked the coolness of the leaves. Also, he humped two male Rottweilers (on two separate occasions) at the dog park. They were very well trained but not impressed. That's all I can think of for now. What embarrassing things do your dogs do?
  14. Yes those steps are great! I might get some
  15. Oh how nice to sleep on the verandah! I might move back to Adelaide one day... Warm weather and no ticks. Perfect! Maybe somewhere on the Peninsula. One can only dream :)
  16. Also, I have Grover's answers from Simonne, the animal communicator. It made me cry, but at the same time it was wonderful to hear how well he is doing and that he is with me in spirit. I liked hearing how he is feeling light and happy and preferring to remember happier times, as the short time he was sick has passed. About his death - he said his body was so tired and he couldn't hold on any more.
  17. Thank you for sharing that with me; it makes me feel so much better knowing I'm not alone. I'm wearing the love heart pendant with Grover's ashes in it.
  18. Also, a friend suggested that I put Grover's engraved name tag on my key chain. This is what she does with her dogs. I'm not sure if I'll do it but I thought I would post about the idea here.
  19. I have booked an email session with an Animal Communicator to help me be at peace with Grover's death. She is going to talk to him and see how he's going. I have no idea if this stuff is real but I feel I really need to do it. I have used her before in the past. Here is a link to Simonne's website. I found out about her from watching Enough Rope with Andrew Denton. She was on there once and she spoke to his Jack Russell "Daisy". http://simonnelee.com/animal-communication/
  20. Wow, amazing photos this week everyone! :)
  21. Happy Birthday Ziggy! You are a sweetheart!
