  1. Sorry to hear about Feather, it must have been a big shock for both of you. I hope she will be okay :)
  2. How about Aidan2 (sorry to put you in it Aidan  )? He's a DOL member, a dog trainer and he's in Tasmania. If he can't help, maybe he might know someone who can??
  3. My vet understands/approves and has no problem with titre testing. eta My Pug isn't due for his next vaccination until September this year, and I will be titre testing then. I have told my vet about VetPath in WA and she will probably use them.
  4. Minimax, how do you mix up six weeks of food? I struggle to find bowls large enough to mix up 2 kilos (ten days) of my Pug's food. 4P4M, my Pug has a cooked diet but you could feed it raw: 1 kilo organic free range chicken 4 tins sardines in springwater (no added salt) 6 organic free range eggs 1 cup organic raw processed low carbohydrate vegetables 1 cup organic brown rice 1/2 cup organic yoghurt 1/4 cup organic flaxseed oil My Pug is recovering from cancer and I prefer to feed him an organic diet, but you don't have to go organic.
  5. I wouldn't go that far if my Pug had only a urinary tract infection. But if he was actually dying I would. I don't get why the couple went that far for a UTI. eta None of my dogs have ever had a UTI, so I have no idea how serious they can be.
  6. It's been lovely here, 25 C to 32 C every day. That I can handle.
  7. I've only been posting for 16 months (since September 2012) and I've had a DOLiday, but I'm getting better
  8. You've made some good points there, Anne. I think I'm one of those 'grass is greener on the other side/good old days were better' people
  9. Tonight, while I was making dinner, my Pug snatched a piece of broccoli that fell on the kitchen floor and ran around the house shaking it and throwing it up in the air like he had caught a mouse
  10. She might have meant those stupid mobile scooter things (I don't know what they're called). But yeah, I would be p*ssed off as well.
  11. I dont miss the attacks that used to occur, it's a lot milder now. I think the attacks still occur but they're less frequent and more subtle now. I think this is because other DOLer's are now less tolerant of that behaviour. Also, I miss the DOLer's with genuine knowledgeable/experience, as opposed to those who know FA and can't help offloading their opinions. It shits me to tears when this happens.
  12. Oh no, how awful Thinking of you and Astro and hoping he recovers quickly
  13. I don't go to dog parks anymore. Too many morons. I feel your pain
  14. Congratulations! I first discovered DOL in 2002. I think the community has changed a lot since then and I agree that it was better in the past. I think this is because there were more breeders/exhibitors back then. But I’m glad that it exists and I have learnt a lot in the short time that I've been posting.
  15. Thinking of you and Louis and I hope he's feeling better soon
  16. Glad he's home and hope he's feeling better soon :)
  17. Yes it gave me a good laugh, thank you. That is gorgeous, I love it :)
  18. My Pug does the opposite of everything I ask him to do, so I've worked out that I have to use reverse psychology on him. Some people think Pugs aren't very smart but I think he's smarter than me
