  1. And if Wiz met me at the door & I was up yo no good I'd probably poo my pants ;)
  2. 38. I have a new walking client. Seems I specalise in black dogs who like to pull. 38 by Superspanger, on Flickr
  3. There's a lady in sydney who custom makes patches too ;) https://www.facebook.com/k9scentsability/?fref=ts
  4. Scottie is small - but will take any opportunity to "self walk" - it's really for my own sanity than anything else.
  5. Scottie is always away for tradies - removed from the property if I can't be there. The girl who has been doing my nails has 2 big dogs - baby gated away. Her dobe girl growled as I went in today. I did think "F Me I hope that baby gate holds up"
  6. I bet he'd be down right amazing to watch!
  7. http://www.paloaltodogtraining.com/choosing-nose-work-harness/ The Julius k9 harnesses are very popular. I know a boxer who wears one. Will see if I can find a pic. edit: I can't find any of my friends boxer - but here's a lab instead ;)
  8. I use a small bit of mince (beef, pork or chicken - what ever is on sale). Freshly minced chicken mince is very sticky and almost impossible for tablets to be spat out.
  9. I always do - especially in summer. I have a bowl that hangs on the side of the crate.
  10. Except getting one at that age doesn't give you much time with them - they have a pretty short life span. But there is something very special about adopting a golden oldie.
  11. I loved being able to watch other dogs work. I was able to sit in and audit an ORT once - it was so great to watch all the dogs do the exact same search.
  12. My uncle would do this. Like the boys club. Because he sold his bulls as breeding stock. So he'd have about 15 to 20 of various ages - usually sold them about 2 years old and had the next generations coming on... And get this - had a guy come in and teach them the bovine equivalent of loose lead walking and show stacking - with reward based training - same as zoo critters. Ie you want your bulls to be friendly with people and easy to handle. Yeh well - you hardly want to be dragged around the show ring by half a tonne of naughty bovine.
  13. Thanks Steve. Basically what I would broadly consider breeders terms :)
  14. Oh. He's too cute. I went and looked at the Local GAP page after S posted her greyhound wish list ... lots if lovely, young unraced greys on there at the moment
  15. PS - Love reading these kinds of threads. Love looking at really different breeds. I'm in a facebook group who often has rare/unusual breed posts - enjoy that too.
  16. I've been wondering if the dog (I assume it was a bitch) was sold or leased on breeders terms? Why else would anyone let someone use their prefix?
  17. The Highly unlikely: The basically impossible: Another Blue. Bitch. Traceable back to my old girl (bred by Mrs Bearup - she was a Galwarri bitch) Too much dog: A weim - both long and short coat. A Mal Too much grooming: A low chen A pekigese - fawn or red. A bitch. Called Tabitha :) Some combo of the above: Akita Munsterlander (I like the sound of the name LOL) Leonburger St Bernard (too much slobber) One each of the Podengos - small, medium and large - One rough and one smooth of each (no - just plain stupid but would be funny) The more likely: Rough griffon bruxellois Irish Wolfhound Tenterfield Terrier Westie Greyhound (Most likely option in this entire thread)
  18. Yup. That's what I'd expect. Not some fluff piece in the paper.
