  1. Scottie used to do a little power handstand. Way too cute. Thankfully not a dq. I'd be inclined to give him a mix of some very simple non-obstructed hides & a few harder to access hides - still not obstructed but on the other side of solid things (picnic table, gates, tableon its side) so he needs to puzzle over finding it too. Does that make sense? Good luck with him.
  2. Feeding a giant breed puppy a raw diet is very complex & as its been mentioned not something you want to dabble in if you're new to raw. If you have literally just bought pup home there might be other reasons it wont eat what you offered (getting settled, missing its litter, new type of bowl... anything). Please get in touch with your breeder and talk it over. Failing that, you'll have to quickly become intimately acquainted with the needs of a giant puppy & nuances of nutrition for large dogs. Maybe looking for a community of Saint owners would be a good place to look (maybe Facebook). But please exercise caution & research as much as possible.
  3. Yep. I've been mulling it over for days. I know what I think but I don't know how to express myself. ...
  4. I got some really excellent ones off eBay a few years ago. Edit: for future reference http://m.ebay.com/itm/291381754004?_mwBanner=1 I got this type. Just google "mysilverwombat" + ebay
  5. I'd like to second, third and forth this.
  6. Really yes! I think one of the reasons is that he was just a wee pup when I first joined ! Even if he is "Norty Don". Maybe you better send him to me. Actually.... don't. Let me admire him from afar & pretend he's perfect
  7. I was going to say, how is a "correction" ANYTHING but a punishment in this case?
  8. As much as I loved Scottie - i think my next pooch will have a bit more milage on it. I'd totally have another senior but need a bit longer with my next
  9. Shhhh... don't tell the others but Donny is my fave
  10. You can pop in, look around, hang about outside if you like & watch the flow (does it look chaotic or calm). Ask questions (early on my faves were always about something I knew about. I once discounted place entirely based on the answer I got after asking a nutrition question). If they have board or groom facilities ask to see them. I will add - be mindful of timing - I'd never expect to see the surgery (at all) or have a tour of the groom area if the frooming area if they were really busy, but a firm "no" wouldn't sit well with me either. Also ask around. When I moved to my new town and didn't know a singleperson I asked in every pet shop / supply place. No one would recommend one. But 2 of the 3 told me who to avoid. Good luck. Changing vets is tricky. I didnt get it quite right last time & it was hard to change. I still regret not listening to my gut sooner.
  11. It's not binary. Shop around til you find a place you're happy with... ir even twke her for a few trips to the "new vet " til shes more comfy there
  12. If you're very happy with Pandi I'd be sticking with the breeder you already know. Not picking another based mainly on colour.
  13. I think something changed after the upgrade. You could occasionally before, too, if you were on a phone.
  14. She's a cute & yeh it was, low & loud!
