Parents State Dogs Responsible For Critical Injuries To Toddler

How very sad. I agree with the above - I usually leave my phone behind so I can focus on "us time". -
I think I've seen them in woolies.... but could be right off the mark there.

Glad to hear he's OK. How scary for you all.

Have been thinking about this recently - so this is a great time for the topic to pop up. Anyone have any comments, feedback, other on this product http://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/product.asp?id=7674&pname=Seatone+Caps+125 Seems a cost effective and easy way for me to introduce green lipped mussels to the diet. Anything I should be wary of? We used to human feed fish oil and gluclosamine capsules (to another dog) with no (obvious) side effects.

Or... from what I can tell - it's dinner time anytime Stan can beg borrow or steal a meal...

Straight after AM and PM walks. Which is usually around about 7am on week days and ... when ever the heck we get homefrom work, out for a walk and back home in the PM.

I was recently told it was a de-stresser / signal that all is OK. Can't comment on Scotties shaking - it's not above average. Our office dog does it a lot - I notice because he's a dachshund and so quite cute/funny to watch. Edited to add: I also agree with sarsaparilla - I knew a beagle who would do a few huge head shakes immediately before a seizure.

Sometimes I Really Like This Odd Black Dog :)

Swoon.... -
We had 2 red and 2 blues when I was younger. 2 with papers, 2 without. The Red dog (with papers) came from a produce place not far from home - big, chunky boof of a dog. Lovable and easy going. The red bitch came home with us from a garage sale. The people were keen to get rid of her and the contents of their house. She was a nuggetty little thing. Turned out to be deaf and therefor had all the associated problems. Not actually sure what ever became of her. The first blue was as crazy as a cut snake. Fearful of men from day one. She was supposed to be my step-dads but she hated him with a vengeance. She bonded to 11 year old me like velcro - hiding under the house when I'd go to school - or away to Dads at holiday time. It got to the point where I would have to put her in the run and all they could do was feed her when I wasn't there. To look at she was stunning and a lot finer then the either of the reds. She died very suddenly one day at the age of 4-ish. I'd locked the three "big" dogs and the foxie in the horse truck fr a few hours while some horses were coming and going and when I let them out, Jilly was in there, stiff as a board. The second blue bitch we got... not sure where she came from - she just arrived one day while i was at school (as animals tended to do at our place, care of the grown ups...) she was medium compared to the others. She didn't have papers. Absolutely lovely dog. I was very very fond of her. She and the red dog both went with my step-father when he and my mum broke up. We never worked any of them, they were all pretty good around the horses. Not great around the cats - attacking two at various times. I'd own one again in a flash but I would avoid any with similar lines to Jilly - but that said, she was born over 20 years ago and the breeder was old at that time.

I'm Officially A Sad, Disturbed Dog Owner...

OK. Kmart have cute dinosaur costumes for dogs. I have considered them... but you've just progressed up a level in "crazy dog-ladyness". :) -
Why are you giving away 1/2 a bag of senior Sunday pets? Is your dog not doing so well on it? I have tried and tried - he's taken to licking anything remotely yummy off the kibble and spitting it out across the kitchen. Sick of stepping on it... Have you added a little warm water to it? That might tempt him? Might be worth a shot. But I'm not super keen on it as he tends to enjoy his "breakfast" around lunch time...Not sure I like the thought of mushy 'dry' food sitting around all day. (We "free feed" - ie put down a serve and he eats when he feels like it. He always eats dinner in one go, at dinner time.) But I will try. However, it is now one of two things he wont try at all, as opposed to - I suppose I'll eat it if I have to. As I have said, very fussy old man.

Scottie is pretty good but when he really has the sh*ts he trashes the lounge room. Hubby got home to find the phone off the hook books out of the shelves last night! Guin, our last dog... bad news from Go to Woah. Before 12 months she'd destroyed a mattress and carpet in one of the bed rooms. How she lived to 15 I'll never know.

Anyone Tried Costco's Grain Free Dry Dogfood?
Scottsmum replied to Stitch's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Not if you sneak through when it is busy & the door marshalls are all occupied  Riiight..... :) I did manage to get a good look once when they first opened - we played the "we're a not for profit - wan to see if a m'ship is right for us card" but wanted another squizz before I make my mind up. -
I have approx 1/2 bag senior Sunday pets - free to good home. Pick up Sydney inner west. (Marrickville/newtown)

Eating Grass And Dirt

Scottie grazes. He even has a favourite patch which he lays down in to have a little chew. -
Squee for Dally pics full stop! I went and had a quick google - but thanks for the summary. Very interesting.

Maybe we could go a bulk order?

I had no idea they had such specific dietary requirements.

Have been spring cleaning and moving furniture around the house this week. Looks like we got placement of this armchair just right...

I don't know of one, but with my low level human polar it lets me know peak HR. I imagine that once this hits the market place, others will follow and it will be flooded. Maybe one will come up then. I would also like to see a watch I can wear so I can watch the figures easily while we walk/play.
