Being Called 'rude' For Setting Clear Rules.

I second the baby sitter option if possible. Otherwise your dog, your rules, tell the other perperson to stick it ;) -

Why An *emergency Recall? *
Scottsmum replied to Shakti's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Kinf of off topic My MIL talks about having an emergency stop for her dogs back when my hubby was a kid. It was halt (i think) and it = do not move another inch. She credits it saving a human kids life one day when they nearly got hit by a car And it was the first thing she thought/yelled :) -
Fair point. :)

No. Chuckle away. Poor Pedantic Puppy. I thought he was in serious pain.

Why do I not believe you? (ps Scottie says to tell you he isn't farty with cheese - tuna on the other hand - phew!)

So I also got a small chilly dog from k9 pro which I picked up from the post office this morning. It looks great. Its a bit long on him - 1 or 2 cm past his tail - but I dont mind that as it means his bum will stay dry when we're in the rain. He did have a small melt down - he managed to get pee IN the belly band and he really chucked a fit. First he stopped dead still on his bum (I thought he was going to scoot), then he flicked around looking at his tummy, walked maybe 100m more, another fast and very determined sit, looking down at his stomach. He really freaked me out as he was a bit down yesterday & vomited his dinner up last night too. Anyhow, I ran my hands over him / his belly and copped a wet hand of pee - GROSS - but better than a trip to the vet. All that said - I think an XS would have been too small. So... I will add an extra band of velcro to take the belly band up a tiny notch. So "Mr. Can't aim my wee, cant handle peeing on myself" can walk in warmth. Photos to follow when it's off the clothes horse.

I'm *supposed* be to finishing an assignment and my mind wandered - No photos of your babies in a long time :) Hope they're well.

If you can get a trampoline bed in the kennel I'd use that + blankies until the pup grows out of destroying bedding :) It's what we always used for our outside dogs.

Hrm. I think with things like this - sometimes they're great cause they make you think about things you're possibly not likely to consider (insurance, building a client base, reliability, scheduling etc). I personally wouldn't hire someone who sole credentials we're an online groupon course - especially if they were bragging about it - but for 30 bucks it might be a good extra - if you get what I mean.

I think I might have :) I think petO are stocking them at the moment.

Feed her from a lasagna dish on a nonslip mat?

Just a thought my dig walker comes in 2 tines a day. Walks, medicates & feeds Scott when im away. works out less than a kennel. Do you have a local walker who might be able to do similar? Or maybe one of the vet nurses from you vet might sit him?

Wow, can anyone elaborate on why to stay away from Hanrob? I have read such great reviews on other sites so quite shocked now! I know a dog who comes home with the hives, runs & sooks every time he goes there. Owner doesn't care but Id never take my dog there based on this dogs behavior & physical condition on the 4-5 times ive seen him return from there.
