No, the only place that is big enough for that is the Serengeti in Tanzania. Migration wasn't such a big thing in South Africa due to the very different terrain.

Spend the day driving around in the Pilanesberg National park on Friday. Its greener than I have ever seen it and the long grass made it difficult to spot game. Had some good sightings though lots of the game had twins due to the good conditions. Note this is a fenced in volcanic crater and the game is completely wild, numbers are managed but otherwise there is very little interference in the eco system. This is called Bushveld ie grasslands with bushes Due to the cool conditions and the rain none of the animals had to hide up in the middle of the day so there were sightings all day White Rhino with Waterbuck in the background

My ist impressions of the place are its dirty and untidy, the roads are potholed. Lots more security guards and armed response patrols. Learned to stand next to your car and wait till it locks and check that it has to defeat the jammers used by the thieves that block your remote control signals. On the plus side I met my granddaughter for the 1st time, caught up with some family and old friends and have eaten foods I forgot that I missed. Tomorrow we are driving around in the Pilanesburg National Park. If you do stupid shit and get elephant stomped or get out your car and become a snack its on your head. No suing anyone for your own stupidity here. Pissing people off by doing Rand to Dollar conversions on the fly and remarking how cheap it is :). Something I hated when I lived here and had foreign visitors. A handsome pair of Rhodesian Ridgebacks that wanted to dismember me. Look carefully at fence.
