Jonah has had issues with yeast infections in his ears and skin since I have had him requiring weekly Malaseb baths and ear cleanings every 2 days and even then having problems. I read something a few weeks ago ago about yoghurt and probiotics boosting the immune system and reducing yeast infections. So I figured I have nothing to lose and bought some natural yoghurt with ABC cultures and some Inner Health capsules. The results have been astonishing,its been about 3 weeks now and his ears are the cleanest I have ever seen and its nearly 1.5 weeks since his last bath and he still doesnt feel greasy or smell. I capsule and a tablespoon of yoghurt everyday is all it seems to take, hope it stays this way

My view isn't popular in these pc times. Not saying this is exactly what happened but it makes the point. Kid hits dog on head, kid gets bitten perhaps badly. Tough luck don't hit dog on head again. When I was very young my friends 4 or 5 year old brother used to sit on 6 foot Wall and tease German Shepherd. One day he fell in and they chewed him up a bit. Every body concerned knew who was at fault and there was never a mention of putting the dogs down. Pity that kind of pragmatism has been replaced by the nonsense we have today. I have been following this thread with interest as Jonah is also a problem child with other dogs, I had Steve Courtney look at him and he seems to think most of the issues are fear based possibly due to him being attacked as a pup. He has no idea how to behave with other dogs and if off lead will go storming up to them and play growl and often get bitten for his troubles.If he is on lead he turns into Cujo if dogs run up to him and then He whimpers and whines when I wont let him near dogs he wants to investigate. I dont go to dog parks unless they are deserted because of this. I now have him able to sit and watch a dog walk by on our walks or just look at them if we are moving but always have to be on guard for idiots who insist on walking their dogs off lead. I am not the subtlest of people and cant handle fools so there have been a few words exchanged with people who seem to think that its their right to allow their dogs to hassle people. So I feel your pain hope things continue to improve for you.

2/52 Jonah and Askari Some hooliganism

This one involves my partners dog. While Jonah was snuggled up in his crate on the patio during this afternoons big storm Askari was running around in the rain. He was soaked when I got home, then gave me and the house a shower when I let them in. He also has a "dumbass"nickname :)

Argh! Why?! My Aussie does this. As soon as I let her out she finds the hottest possible spot and just bakes there. I have to make her move as she has pink skin on her face and I don't want her to burn! I had to literally chase him inside today in nearly 40 degree temps, last weekend he was so hot he wouldnt eat his dinner. One of his nicknames is Dumbass because of stunts like that.

My dog is a dope because he insists on laying outside in the sun on the hottest days.

Nice pictures, I have a harness with patches like that saying "Give me space, do not pet" Has made exactly zero difference, clearly the idjuts dont have very good reading skills :)

My previous dogs never bit another person but were hell on Indian Mynahs. Jonah who is fear agressive has snapped at people who ignored the growls and drawing away when I first got him and he snapped at me at 3am one morning when I found him sleeping on the couch,but he is doing a lot better now. He has gone for other off lead dogs who have come running up when he is on lead but not connected yet and I am now at pains to keep off lead dogs away. He does chase birds etc and may kill something if he catches it but it hasnt happened yet.
