Glad to hear you are winning, Pity about Saaba stories like that make me incredibly sad as I know what I would feel like if anything happened to Jonah. -

Another milestone for Jonah, he was able to interact with dogs at a park a couple of times without any dominance or aggression issues. Until the planets lined up yesterday and he ignored me to run up to the wrong dog and got chomped for his troubles, and today he met a new batch of dogs at obedience while on lead and not one growl or sign of aggression 1st time ever. Definitely signs of progress. -
Maybe it behooves you to take some responsibility and pay attention to the world around you, a windblown tree may be about to fall on you or the zombie apocalypse may be starting you never can tell. Actually I blame her for having headphones on she would have heard the commotion and not traumatized the poor dogs by getting in their way if she wasn't wearing them.

Gee whiz people some of you really need a supply of chill pills. Sorry about the incident you had Yonjuro, I have learnt to expect the worst from any dog approaching us. Jonah had bad fear aggression issues when I adopted him and used to be very bad at interacting with other dogs and I stayed away from the local park because of that and started obedience training so he could interact with other calm dogs. This seems to have paid off as I had no option to visit the park last week and he was ok with most of the other dogs. Point is there is always hope if you put in the work.

Thanks Sometimes the "so close" leads to clenched butt cheeks as besides for the fact that they are used to cars these are wild animals and if you stepped out of the car you could become a take away or splatted pretty quickly. One weekend the work party was called off in a hurry as a ranger had seen some Lions heading in our direction and not long after we left they were spotted where we had been by some tourists. -
Macro setting kept popping the flash up so I fiddled but I chnaged so much I cant say what was what :). I think most of them were taken in aperture priority with the biggest aperture and the ISO up at about 800 or so, not to sure. The spiders were on manual focus and most of them were blurred as the wind kept blowing things around. I may change less and take more note next time I play with it :)

It's a nice place if they could sort the management out. All this only 2 hours drive from Johannesburg. 1 of the few things I miss. Sent from my GT-P7500 using Tapatalk -

Part 2 We drove around the corner you can see there and this guy was coming the other way on the road about 50m in front of me. Needless to say I gave him right of way and the bugger made me reverse back about a 100m before he got of the road. This guy was feeding near the road This bird was on something I couldnt see in the grass untill a Crow arrived and chased it off. If you look carefully in this you can see the Hawk is upside in this -
These are some old photos I just found and scanned which I took at a game park I volunteer in. Taken with a Pentax SLR with a 400mm lens(possibly Sigma) We used to arrive on a Friday evening and set up camp in our camp site in the park. This was enclosed with about 8 or 10 strands of solar powered electric fence which served to keep the nasty's out of your tent. Things like Lions,Leopards, Elephants and other furry and toothy beasties. Saturday was work day with a couple of rifle bearing guards to keep the hungry beasts off your back while you worked, Saturday evening was time for a game drive followed by some fireside conversation and a few drinks. BTW a Lion moaning outside the camp sounds a lot like cell phone vibrating on a table just much louder :), and listening to a bunch of Elephants feeding next to the fence tends to have a bowel loosening effect. The camp site there is a fence there but its literally a few strands of wire so you cant see it unless you are on top of it. The work party, we were putting in posts for a supposedly Elephant proof fence at a Hide. Breeding herd of Elephants This guy we stalked up on a Sunday morning walk through the park. I couldnt take a pic any closer as the sound of the shutter could have initiated a charge. Hornbill These were feeding along the edge of the road I could nearly reach out the car window and poke this one. Springbok rams sparring

I was a bit naughty, the giant owner of those 2 brown cross breeds was trying unsuccessfully to get his dog to sit, so I called Jonah over and made him sit and then drop and sit again :) He just gave me a look and walked off lol :)

I took Jonah to a off lead dog park for the 1st time in many months because of his behavioral issues. My heart was in my mouth but he was a model citizen, only dog he growled at was a domineering staffy. He even let strangers pet him, I was over the moon. He made another conquest Who knows what was going on here Looking cool Ignoring other dog

I made a post yesterday but it seems the gremlins intercepted it. There are 3 other dogs in the family doing fine on the Earthborn Holistic Coastal Catch but Jonah always had red itchy feet so I swapped him onto Blackhawk Chicken and Rice and it cleared up in weeks. Then he started scratching a bit more than normal on a new bag of Blackhawk so I thought I might try the Earthborn Primitive luckily I only bought a 3kg bag as it upset his stomach badly with no improvement in the scratching and pinkish feet. Gave it 3 weeks with no change so he is back on the Blackhawk for the foreseeable future.

KIbble, Yoghurt and Sardines with coconut oil and fish oil in between, processed cheese slices and liver treats. (The cheese is handy to hide tablets in). Plus what ever falls on the kitchen floor and pretty much anything else I give him. BTW Hankdog Grapes cause kidney failure in most dogs so be glad he wont eat them.

You should see when there are 10 or 20 in the dog park at a Peinic
