I am going to be traveling in areas where dog bait is present and am suffering mild paranoia that Jonah will get hold of some. Does anyone know whats the best way of dealing with it from what I read its pretty much tickets once you see symptoms.

Dogs rushing me in the street are normally easily scared off using similar methods to what Alpha Bet recommends. Having Jonah with me would complicate matters as he would turn into cujo if a dog charged us. If all else fails I always have a folding knife in my pocket and would use it if it came to that.

15/52 Haven't had the two of them together for a while and this weekend will be the last time as Jonah and I are moving across the country.

I had a Asian lady sit on the only (narrow) trail at the Simpson falls and watch me walk up to her without moving. I even stopped Jonah to give her a chance to move and she didnt. Of course the minute Jonah tried to walk past her she started carrying on like he was rabid, plague bearing vicious beast. As for the people who think that describing people by their race is racist I can only advise that you find something more important to worry about.,

Going Southish, no 4wd and towing biggish boat. Boat cabin is fine, I slept in it for a week on a fishing trip before. Am going to buy a couple of the 15litre bottled waters and I have a 120ltr esky in the boat which will be kept iced up every stop. I am driving from Brisbane to Kalgoorlie in a couple of weeks and Jonah will be traveling with me. I am aiming to do 7 to 800km a day and stop over in pet friendly caravan parks and sleep in the cabin of my boat. Has anybody else done this drive and have any ideas on stop overs etc?

Sorry to hear this and hope your dogs pull through without too much damage. This kind of thing makes me so angry, I nearly got into a punch up yesterday with a dimwit who's off leash dogs ran up to Jonah while he was on lead. This is a thing that guns would definitely fix dog and owner.

Its now been 4 weeks since Jonah last had his weekly bath with Malaseb shampoo and he doesnt get as smelly by the end of the week and his coat is much softer. Another win for the probiotics and yoghurt.
