I have a bank of four bird avaries in the yard. Whenever I do anything outside, three of the four dogs follow me to help. That is a given! Even when I'm in with the birds, they are hanging around up that end of the yard. Ivy will patrol the fence, the other two just loitering around. The largest aviary has quail in it and the dogs always get the eggs to eat. I don't feed/water that aviary till last and I very often will walk out to re-fill my watering can BEFORE I have even stepped foot in the large aviary where the quail are. The dogs always get excited to see me come out again and they help me fill the watering can, because I can't possibly do that on my own! But when I come out and I HAVE stepped foot in the large, quail aviary, all three are at the flight door itching for egg. Even before I am physically out of the aviary. There is a massive flight area that acts as a safety door. How on earth do they know the exact moment I have been in the large aviary and I should have eggy treats? I don't always bring eggs out for them either. Sometimes I'm just in there to dish out fruit. But they still act the same. And it makes me feel guilty to have not picked up the eggs for them. Hope I make sense?

Our rescue Lab had a few hotspots a few months ago and I had no idea they were "brewing" because of her thick coat. We had no idea on her past either. Ended up shaving the areas, they smelt really bad when I got up close to shave, and putting on the purple horse spray everyday. Think I put on the spray for about a week until they pretty much cleared up. She's been on an excellent diet since arriving here but it must just have been her coat that kept the moisture trapped in. She loves water too and I don't think she was getting the best food before she landed on our door step!

Same. Ivy has never killed a soft toy on her own but she will play tug with Badger and with his sheer force, they do kill stuff together My backyard is currently covered in ripped up sofa stuffing. I can't be arsed sweeping it up

They had him and his owner on channel 9 news tonight and they said he lost 14kgs from probably scavenging for food. He was found wandering around a park 45 kilometers from home.
-
Same here. They get two meals a day but spend most of the day outside. I would say just very well looked after.

He lost 14kg! But is well and unharmed.

Safe Wetter Soil Treatment For The Lawn

Yeah it is part of Woolworths. A little off topic but we had Masters open up here [we are known as South Geraldton, a Perthie joke] and we already had Bunnings a few kms up the road. BUT Bunnings then moved right next door to Masters  and opened up a massive store with a ton of undercover parking. Bunnings is a millions time better than Masters IMO. Wish I could get that product today ... -

They defiantly do! But I want the water I use on my lawn to be 100% effective. What is a euro? Do you have wild European cars in the outback!? -

Thanks for that Poo-Fong. Is it a granule that you sprinkle and water in? Any idea on cost for a 25kg bag? Wish it was in Masters now! I did buy a spray on product today that by reading it, seems to be safe. But I'm yet to use it on the dog area. -
We have two sections of lawn. The top section is fenced and the dogs have selected play time as we are growing the grass nice and strong. That section is closest to the house. But the bottom section is theirs to do as they please. So you can imagine the battering it gets from four doggies. Each Summer the grass dies and it is awful down there but this time I want to treat it with a type of wetter soil and see if I can keep it looking greenish. I was looking at products yesterday and it came to me, the dogs love eating the grass and I don't know if them eating the treated grass would be harmful? There were "organic" products but I still wasn't sure. So is there something I can use on the lawn to help it along that won't harm the dogs? Or are the usual products OK to use?

I meant after the operation, from the swelling etc

Had she been able to wee like normal the whole time? Ivy had a smelly vulva as a puppy. The breeder and I just took it as her being a lazy pup and not cleaning herself. But now looking at her vulva, I do check it often anyway, I think she might have a slight Inverted vulva.

How do you use the vinegar? Does it require a lot of scrubbing?
-
I need something like this too. Ivy has taken to weeing on the pavement

I flew a puppy from Tasmania to Perth in 2008 and she went via Melbourne. All I had to do was confirm with Dogtainers in Hobart, pay for her travel and that was it.

Four. All big dogs.

Thank you stellnme :) Correct! She loves her food. -
http://vid862.photobucket.com/albums/ab188/indigo-oak/2014-09-22004932.mp4 Here is a quick video I took this morning while getting breakfast ready. Ivy gets so excited when she's about to get food. Though any time I say "ready" to her, she will spring to life and on comes the Belgiany Drive! When she runs out the carport door she normally does a few spins but she knew I was filming her. Plus I had four bowls of food balanced in one hand, while trying to film.

Best word to describe them! It is like the boy who cried wolf hey. That is what this reminds me of.

Sadly they'llhave no such issues if wanting to buy a rare blue english staffy Esp if they are WA miners who earn enough to buy said rare Blue staffy.
