  1. Haven't read the latest replies but for me the meaning behind a photo of yourself, questions etc is for the breeder someone WHO is willing to go to these lengths to prove they are a genuine person. Most would say screw that, and keep looking. Too much hard work because they don't see the honest reasoning behind it. Easier to get a puppy from the pet store. Hand over cash and ta-da!
  2. I have the Cat Dog Miele vacuum and honestly don't notice any smell with two Labradors, Pointer and Belgian Shepherd. We get LOTS of Lab hair in the house. They are only allowed on the hard floors. eta - I'm pretty lazy with changing the filters on my Miele too.
  3. Really sheena? Makes you wonder how many big hardware stores we need doesn't it? We have quite a quite Bunnings and Masters right next to each other. To be honest; I much prefer B over M. When I went to M yesterday to ask about said product, she shrugged me off and said only the headquarters knows about new products. She didn't even attempt to look for me.
  4. Emailed them late today and if I don't hear back tomorrow I will give them a call :)
  5. Noticed City Farmers had goat horns while I was there today so I grabbed a packet and they're a hit! Only two per pack but they're pretty big. Decided they are going to be an indoor chew toy only so they don't go missing. Grabbed a couple of cow hooves too but they goat horns are more popular here.
  6. Always had female myself and Badger is my first male. I don't like it when some boys have their lipstick out and thankfully Badger never has. Not that I have ever seen. And until Badger, I thought all males cock their leg on everything. They actually don't!
  7. Haven't been able to find this product yet. Think I'll just call them. Masters don't have it ...
  8. I've wanted to do this with Ivy for soooo long. Ivy adores meeting new people and I'm 99% sure she has the skills to do it well. You've inspired me to look in to it again Stressmagnet :)
  9. Wow they've become real dogs! Swoon. I've noticed some of the pups have a shorter muzzle. Luna does, as well as Orange. Or am I seeing things? Is this preferred in the Rotty?
  10. So very exciting for you! Can't wait to see photos :)
  11. I had my male English Pointer desexed at about seven months of age. I regret doing it so young now as he is really leggy. But other than that, he's a real gem. And I can't report any other negative changes. He also doesn't shed hair, unless really stressed out ... But for smaller/toy breeds I wouldn't have an issue with them being done young.
  12. A Great Dane (or any large breed) breeder who feeds Uncles Albers screams red flags to me.
  13. Sometimes good quality food can be expensive for some. Some buy dog food when they buy livestock food. I know stock feeders here sell the cheaper dog food, though one does actually sell BH. I would give the company a call and let them know and if you still have the bag, they might allow you to change it? Never smelt it myself as I don't think we get it here.
  14. Agree. Some people can't even raise a pet rock well enough. My first breed [buying my first puppy as an adult] was a Belgian Shepherd. But in no way would I suggest them for someone not willing to learn about the breed first. Ivy at six years still tests me big time, she did the other day. But thankfully our tight bond allows her testing moments to quickly end. But my doG I could have killed her for doing it.
  15. Wow love it. What type of birds are they?
  16. Thanks, I so can't wait to head over to NZ and meet Karma! Though unfortunately it won't be till she's probably a lot bigger. Think Willow and Karma are going to be the best of mates very soon.
