  1. I see so many scams on Gumtree and usually do report them but this one had me baffled. I was 99% sure that the breed wasn't allowed in Australia. Just so sad that people go to these lengths.
  2. gumtree link amazing litter of dogo argentino puppies
  3. Just "liked" you on Facebook :) Your doggy PJs are adorable! Home late from the movies, so I'll PM you Monday. The company in Europe I'm interested in wholesaling from; well I have ordered two leather martingale collars. For Ivy and Badger. Can't wait to test their product on Ivys wolf coat.
  4. Wow, can't wait to read this in full Little Gifts. I'm out at the moment. My rat hammocks sold very well. Australia wide too. If it wasn't good enough, I would just keep it for my rats and start again. No, they don't use much fabric to make. But rats chew!! Your sixth paragraph rings true. I make everything as I would buy it =) Is it ok to PM you a bit later?
  5. Thanks Megan. Great points! What about having say a max of around $500 worth goods to sell at any one time, plus what I make myself [rat hammocks, bags etc]? Starting REALLY small and slowly working up.
  6. Wish I had a friend like you :)
  7. Awesome, thank you!! eta - Just booked myself in for a free Business Basics Workshop on July 22nd.
  8. Thanks. How can you work out if there is a big enough market? I know pet stores here don't sell the type of collars and leads I'm interested in importing/selling. There are a few boutique stores but because they have rent etc, they mark up their products beyond what a lot of people would spend on dog collars. Plus most of it is assembled in china. Been doing a bit of snooping around lately as I have been searching high and low for new collars for my pack but stores in Perth are limited and what they all sell is rubbish. IMO. What sort of computer program do you use to record everything? Can it be done in Excel?
  9. Already have an ABN! Registered without GST as it was for some contract work I did for my partners business last year. My partner has an accountant too, he'll be going to see the accountant soonish for the tax year, so I can get as much info as possible together before then.
  10. Talking to a lady in Europe now about wholesaling her handmade leather dog collars and leads :) I'll check with our local council.
  11. I'm wondering if any Dolers could please assist me in learning about running a small business from home, mainly dog/bird products. Plus I make my own rodent hammocks too. Guess I'm seeking information about learning to set one up, what is involved, best way to manage etc. Private messages are welcome.
  12. ka89 ... Just wanted to offer my dog knowledge when your little guy is feeling better. I'm not far from Clarkson and have plenty of free time at the moment. Let me know if you would like some help making your garden puppy safe etc.
  13. That is awesome you're going to see Adrian today!!!!! Well there is only Adrian and his father who own the practice, no other vets. So appointments can run late but that is to be expected. I see what you're saying dancinbcs but the puppy owner has already stated they will not take the puppy back to the pet store and the pet store vet couldn't care less. We have all told the owner to take puppy to a new vet and a VERY good vet has been suggested and puppy is going there today. This is one rare pet shop puppy owner doing the right thing here, be supportive and helpful hey :) The pup is in good hands seeing Dr Adrian. I know for a fact as he is my personal vet.
  14. This isn't an Australian company. The product is made in NZ but appears to be owned elsewhere. Do you know who owns it?
  15. My parents have an English Pointer puppy, she's around 12 months of age and recently desexed. She's from a registered breeder on the east coast. Mum and Dad work full time but Mum is home from 2:30pm everyday. Morgan goes to doggy daycare once a week and it is working out well for her. They have reported she is fitting in well and she is only ever placed with similar personality dogs. But the main issue is that Morgan sounds like she has separation anxiety, big time and Mum is looking for a good behaviorist to help her and Morgan. She can be really naughty when she wants to. Food rewards don't work with Morgan, she has never been overly fussed with food. Mum is really keen to have a professional help them. So can you please suggest a few people Mum can contact? Preferably female as Morgan isn't too keen on males she doesn't know well.
  16. I had a friend work there when she was a vet student, that was a long time ago though. Good to hear it's still one of the better vets. Adrian at Ocean Keys is the best up here for sure! I trust him a million times over with my beloved Belgian Shepherd. And he takes on any emergency case too. Hope you've managed to see a new vet today.
  17. Ocean Keys Vet is where I go and they are in Clarkson. Highly recommend.
  18. Well well well ... Badger has never been a poo eater and I have just seen him eating Ivys poo Ivy has been eating Sunday Pets Raw Chow the last couple of days ....
  19. I found a typo on the back of the bag hehehehe
  20. Bought the raw chow lamb today. Made the error of adding cold water, not warm. Took me awhile to wonder why it wasn't doing anything. Though when it was sorted, it smelt really good!! Ivy ate it with gusto, even though it was like slops. Opps.
