  1. How did you go about getting the Mals [i gather you use them for the Mals?] used to wearing them?
  2. Yeah she probably would remove them or become a real princess about having them on but saying that, she is really accepting of most things I do to her. She isn't fussed with her paws being touched and played with. I'll grab a pair of baby socks and see what she does. With positive rewards of course.
  3. Most of the area we walk is verge, no paths. She tends to walk on the grass or road [she's a weaver ] but with the Avon drop offs I tend to criss-cross the bitumen from house to house as we're in a quiet housing estate. Hmm what about putting newborn baby socks on her feet?
  4. Apologies for all the threads lately. I'm thinking Ivy might need boots for when we do our Avon deliveries over the hotter months. I will be aiming to do it morning or late afternoon but the roads are still quite hot any time of the day here. Would you advise we look in to them?
  5. Would it be possible that different brands react differently to the weather/room temperature? I'm going to try a new brand tomorrow and see if we have been 'spoonage'.
  6. Your item was processed through a facility in AUSTRALIA on August 7, 2014 at 9:12 am. The item is currently in transit to the destination.
  7. Even sitting on the bench, the oil was rock solid. And when melted, it coated all the food in their bowl instead of just being a chunk of hard oil. I'm weird and I like their food all mixed together
  8. I'm a mix it well crazy person but that seems OK to just scoop and serve. So she defiantly needs the oil part?
  9. So I have Ivy on a Turmeric diet and coconut oil should be fed with Turmeric. To increase the bio-availability of Turmeric, when adding turmeric to your dog's food in the bowl also add coconut oil. Tried the oil and it was so annoying to have to melt it every time I wanted to use it. I got fed up and stopped after the jar was nearly empty. Plus when you melt it, it seems to poof in to thin air. I saw this at my local dog food store and bought a re-packed small container. Though now reading online, the oil has been removed. So is feeding the product above not the same as feeding the oil? As in what it offers To increase the bio-availability of Turmeric? How can I feed coconut [oil] in an easier way?
  10. My pack are fed twice a day and if I fail to feed them twice a day, I'm warned there will be a price to pay Though now having them in at night and the old guy being 14 and a half, we have the odd poo in the house in the morning.
  11. Ivy shakes to fix her hair. She'll shake a few times a day.
  12. Yay, glad it went so well! How big is the wound? Photos? Yeah good luck not allowing Marles to jump or run around. It was impossible to stop Ivy. Ivy has healed really well. Scabs are drying up and coming off randomly. The weird bump that appeared near a possible injection site has thankfully gone!! And we're back to walking everyday and she's walking perfectly.
  13. Ended up going with WolfPack backpacks. With the backpack, a collar for mums Pointer AND postage from America, it added up to $106. Compared to me buying just a Ruffwear and having it sent within Australia. Now I'm itching for it to be sent and for it to arrive!!!!
  14. I taught Ivy to wag her tail on command :D She also finally agreed to learn to shake paw on command too. Now she uses this to her advantage ...
  15. Thank you! I'm loving it so far :) My July order was a lot larger than I expected. Think I'm going to go with the Ruffwear Approach Pack http://www.caninespirit.com.au/product_images/1064.jpg
  16. Ruffwear are currently at the top of my list but still a decent price. I guess I can't really pay over $100. Trying the Julius on tomorrow. Yay. Maybe a little out of my range but at least we can get an idea. I do want something that fits her really well.
  17. Thanks. She loves the work and now her limp has gone completely, I feel she's ready to be a working dog again! Her she is on the one we have now.
  18. That would be awesome if we could. We're NOR too, Joondalup. My internet searching is failing me at the moment
  19. **update** I've put in an order for a 'WolfPack Reflector' link to website It has arrived and is perfect :D
  20. Have you used the DIY dog washing machines at Pet Stock? I use the one at Joondalup and have used it for dogs not used to a vacuum. You can clip them in, so they can't get their paws over and after a few baths, they get used to it; to a degree. Plus the one at Joondalup, you pay afterwards and each bath use adds to a free bath! Frequent Bather hehe. You pay afterwards too. So no need to go searching for change. I find this is the best way to help Ivy [belgian shepherd] blow her coat.
  21. Ivy has from time to time eaten sand and it makes her poo look sandy and a b**ch to pick up when she does it out in the street. Though only when the weather has been rainy and rain does make the soil leach more nutrients; I think? So maybe the dirt just tastes nice? Doesn't bother me, unless she did it frequently but she does it randomly.
