The Hume is being diverted out to Junee, Wagga and then back on to the Hume through Culcairn. Thats one hell of a long diversion. As Poodlefan pointed out earlier, its not the rain that will be falling on the weekend that will cause the problem - it is what is going to be travelling down the river systems. Our backyard is flooded like it was 2 months ago when Holbrook flooded - that influx of water moved down the river and flooded Narrandera a few days later - I can only imagine how much water is rushing down there now after two major rain events in the area in a week.
-
Yeah I think that is what we'll aim for if they do come up.
-
Yeah I have to ring Katherine tonight and see whether or not they're coming and then work out how we're going to meet up to pick up Daphne. The rain here overnight was just nuts.
-
We checked on you all last night and you were all safe out of the water. Hindsight is a wonderful thing and I wish we'd moved you closer to the house. The 3 black girls weren't anything special - just 3 little black chickens that would one day lay us eggs but Extra you were one of a kind. A sweet and gentle little rooster who was perfectly happy to be cuddled by a 5 year old girl you will be missed. :dunce:

Raelene & Malcolm - I'm so very, very sorry. RIP Zoe

Its pelting down here and I think what we've got has come through from around Narandera looking at the BOM. Its not looking good.
-
So there is no need to go through/near Narrandera? When we went to Grong Grong last year we stayed at Narranderah which may be why I'm so confused. Steve's courier that they use for areas out to Griffith is expecting that he won't be able to get through from tomorrow and everyone was recommended by him to send anything they had before today.
-
Woohoo - keeping my fingers crossed
-
Yeah that will be my problem - Daphne might be able to get there but I won't be able to get there to pick her up
-
Its very unimportant in the scheme of a natural disaster but the kids and I were so looking forward to Daphne coming home this weekend but I just don't think it will be .
-
I've got your fridge magnet on my fridge Bohunt! I met you in Albury - my lovely vet got his Border puppy from you.
-
I would think its not looking good for Grong Grong with flooding expected to hit Narrendera later this week
-
I hope that Grong Grong can go ahead as my Daphne girl is coming home that weekend. If it doesn't go ahead she may not make it back for Christmas and I promised the kids she'd be back for Christmas

I'm so very relieved for Judy and I know how relieved she is. Its not fair that she has to pay for their apparent care of her dogs but the most important thing is that she can now continue to do what she does best (and what she loves) breed, show and enjoy her precious Tibetan Spaniels.

We only have equipment stalls at the big local shows - its more normal here to NOT have equipment stalls -

I love Aimfor World Peace as well, so nice given your prefix. What a fabulous theme she gave you having them on 11 November!

I'm so pleased that this one has gone so well for you Lyndsay. I can't wait to watch the pups go - I just love the merles.

Whats The Best Thing Your Dog Does?
Trisven13 replied to jazawayaya's topic in General Dog Discussion
Marie snuffles you - she doesn't lick but she does that scent-hound snuffle that ends up feeling kind of like a lick as she smells you. I love it and Ellie-Mae does the same thing. Marie also does this fabulous pirohuette (sp?) when she really likes you - she jumps up next to you and spins around. She and I go for a walk at lunch-time and for the first 5 minutes she will be really into the walk and then its like she suddenly realises that it is just her and I and she does it right next to me with the most joyful look on her face. Makes me feel VERY loved -
Oh Lyndsay I'm so very sorry.
-
Yeah that is what I saw at the goat races 20 plus years ago.
-
It was great to be back showing with such a great group and Rusty is the funniest dog I've ever met. Go the Ranga!!!
-
It was great to meet you and I look forward to catching up with you at more shows now you're officially a local
