Oh my goodness Snook, that's such a huge jump forward in progress again! I also loved the bunny hop for treats. Justice did so well! -
Scottsmum, we upgraded to a king size doona on a queen bed to avoid the inevitable cold bums and doona theft from Dozer, might be an idea. So great to hear that Scottie is doing well at the moment

Wow, just wow Snook! That's huge! I'm so happy for you and Justice with this huge leap forward with the valium. -
I hate it when my dog is snuggling with me and he walks off with all the blankets.. I'm cold too dog!

MFM do also have larger kibble sizes in some of the 20kg bags, I'll be getting the bigger size in our next bag. Dozer loved Ivory Coat when he was on it, but it's pretty rare he doesn't love a food. We did find that he got pretty yeasty on it though..

I watched that this morning through the dog snobs! I feel like dozer would be a lot nicer than the dog in the video but very food centric.
-
Oooh yes! I definitely agree that arottie would be perfect for what the Op has described. Such a lovely well rounded breed, that can do just about anything

Dozer knows when it's 5pm and carries on a bit for his dinner. He doesn't really care about getting up at a regular time as we don't have a set wakeup time as hubby is on an afternoon start.

I'm very sorry Ricey, I too loved reading of Hobbes' adventures. Run free beautiful boy <3

I don't! If we go down to smaller dogs one day they're on the maybe list. No matter how popular they are they're still the perfect dog for some I guess. I have no desire for a frenchie! But we are looking at getting a smaller dog in the future (well I am, housemate wants a retriever of some variety). Probably the smallest I'd go would be a miniature bull terrier.. Which is still about 10-15kg of crazy

What a wonderful doggy crew, they are all so precious!

Kibble With Novel Protein Suggestions?
Taliecat replied to fortam's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
You might need to try a single source raw or cooked dog roll as I can't think of a kibble with a novel protein source. The only kibble I can think of that might work is taste of the wild bison -
Thank you for the wonderful pictures, they both are beautiful dogs

Oooh my goodness, he's just too cute.. I love his cute little derp face and and and SQUEEEE!!!

Dozer gets two or three baths a year. He's mostly an inside dog and doesn't really get very dirty, but he is so lovely and soft after a bath I'm considering upping the baths to every second month. He gets a bit of a rub down every week to help control the outrageous amount of fur he manages to drop and a weekly ear cleaning.

I'm so glad it isn't just me that does this! The first time Dozer saw a pedestal fan be was well and truly an adult dog, but we'd always had air-conditioning prior to this house and he'd never seen one. As soon as I went and started touching it he came in for a sniff and I do the same thing for anything else big and new in the house. -
Dozer does this, but only ever with my brother in law, he's grown out of it with everyone else through training door manners again (and again, and again), but for the brother in law, it all goes out the window and there's a pee sprinkler wiggling around on his back waiting for pats. We tried crating when he gets here, popping him in another room or outside, but it just delays the inevitable, he just can't hold on to his excitement.

This is one of the main reasons I was steering my MIL away from Frenchies.. It's a pretty sad thing to see -
Oh, she's just sooo precious in her little sock jumper!

Thistle is my spirit animal! 17 is cold, under 15 and I've got layers of clothes and Dozer and I are both snuggled under a blanket together for warmth. I'm excited to see how he goes with the new King sized quilt set we'll pop on the new bed on Saturday.. We've only got a queen bed so I'm hoping pup and I can actually share this one.. he steals so much blankie! -
Thank you for posting those photos. I just keep going back to them and to me they spark very raw emotions of something I can't even explain with a few tears of happiness. The puppy Olympics also make me very happy!

Every single time dozer snuggles with me he won't settle unless he's under the blanket.. So I lift up the blanket and he'll settle himself down under the blanket like a total cutie.. If he's feeling mischievous he'll just walkb away with the blanket on him and horde it all at the end of the bed!
