Thankyou everyone for your kind thoughts. My eyes are filling with tears again just thinking about their faces and their tongues licking my hand as they went. I stayed with them as I believe that it is the least that I could do for them. But it is hard to watch the life fade from their eyes It is so hard to loose 2 so close. I am now praying that the "happening in 3" does not happen. I could kick both their owners for not taking responcibility and taking them to a vet or atleast letting the pound know they were ill. Run free girls you deserve a life free from pain and filled with love.

I have had the hardest week this week ;) Last Sunday I lost my little Shihtzu X foster, she was never quiet right, although the vet could not find anything wrong. Still do not know what took her away RIP little baby know that I loved you. Run free Pip and wait for me at the bridge Then today I had to have my Shar Pei foster PTS, she was so thin, would not eat, legs full of fluid and the worst breath. Kira was dying of kidney failure and there was nothing that could be done for her. I choose to hold her head and wish her goodbye at the end. RIP big girl know that I loved you Run free Kira and wait for me at the bridge I love both these girls and it was so hard to say goodbye to them. I wish that I could have loved them more, patted them more, anything to make their lives that little bit nicer You both will be in my prayers, sometimes rescue is so hard This is Pippa

So sorry to hear this, my boy suffered from Demodetic Mite as a pup. We tried everything and nothing worked he still had his spots. But low and behold once he was desexed and turned 1 it went away. We still feed allergin free but have had no outbreaks.

I am so sorry Jodie. I have only just read this thread through now. I just do not know what to say, how sad for you and Ollie. But do not give up I have heard and read of some great results using hollistic treatments. Give Ollie dog a cuddle from me Sending hugs, prayers and thoughts your way

I would also recommend checking in the dogs mouth, especially if they are a jowly breed. Jewel had one on the inside of her mouth. very hard to get out. Left a hole in the face.

I brought one of those tick removers aswell. They are very good. I always remove the ticks that we all get, you just have to make sure that you remove the head and it is very important not to squash the tick when you are removing it because you will release all the toxins straight into the dog or humans system. Horrible little critters eekkkk yuck. I like to burn them after removal yuck.

Supercoat gave 2 of my dogs the runs and also Zephyr is extremely allergic to something in it and it makes him itch. It made my Malt x constipated. My dogs coats were dry and their skin was flaky on Supercoat. I will only use Advance. It is one of the best dry dogs foods and does not contain any preservitives and additives.

Who are the breeders registered with? No ethical, moral registered breeder would allow Chi pups to go to any home before they are 8 weeks. I know of some that keep them until they are 12 weeks. I have heard of small breeds becoming sick when vaccinated young. Even it you keep the pups inside with you everywhere you walk you are picking up germs that you will then bring home on your shoes. Goodluck with your new babies though. I hope you are able to put pictures up when you bring them home. Love puppy pics
