  1. I am so truly sorry for yours and your families loss Joanne Charm was truly one in a million, a great foundation bitch and a true indication of the wonderful breed of Shar Pei May Charm fun free at the bridge playing with all the pei that have gone before her
  2. Thanks to the MDBA for the award and thanks to everyone for their congratulations Would of been nice to attend the evening, but newborn babies put a stop to a social life I hope everyone had fun
  3. Anna would be over the moon Congratulations to all the winners so far Wish I was there
  4. Can I be perdantic and ask for the correct spelling of Shar Pei, not Sharpei Some great people listed, looks like it will be a great get together

So sorry for your loss I too loved reading about Rocco
  6. So sorry for your loss Rozzie Run free Abbey
  7. Sounds about normal Some are quiet some are feral and will work They were used in China as working dogs and some still display those traits My Pei bitch will herd, snapping at the puppies heels to keep them together I like the boys better, they do not call them bitches for nothing
  8. They are very territorial and grow into their skin One reason we are so strict at rehoming Shar pei is their dominant nature, in a home without a strong pack leader they are a nightmare and will boss other dogs and humans around Yes they will fight, not all but most, it is a part of who they are They have loose skin, if another dog bites them they get a mouthful of skin, no muscle etc so the Pei can then move to get the other dog As an adult they are supposed to have head wrinkles, two rolls on the back of the neck and above the tail Major dumping reason is they grow out of their rolls and are no longer cute Major problem with why are are not trained is they are so cute as puppies
  9. Oh Jane, I remember her rescue So glad you got to spend 2 years with her, sorry it could not have been more Run free Bebe
  10. It will take me hours to add those figures Any way to do it quicker? 349 rescues 77 entropian 7 more coming in this week, 2 will need entropian
  11. At least he can now see himself in the mirror to see if he looks like a "Pitty". This is not a slur on Sharpei breeders, but on HIS breeder. Entropian is not just a Pei problem and frankly more dont have it than do RSPCA seem to think that ALL Pei need entropian SPR have his sister in care and she is fine Our survey is showing it at 36% That is interesting In my figures of rescue I have it at 311 rescues, 64 entropians, that might not have happened if the dog was tacked as a pup Then it would be good if you entered these into our data base to be included in our figures. I will get onto it Just rechecked and counted 349 rescues 77 entropian

  14. Entropian yes, brow lift no Poor dog now looks like a Pitty
  15. Look at them, so cute Hard to believe Spencer is the same dog
  16. She has come a long way Ruthless, you should be so proud of your little tart lol
  17. Completly agree and did not say aggression can be fixed, not sure what I said that made you think otherwise Aggression is more prominant in some breeds than others and some lines within those breeds are worse than others
  18. And sometimes after all that the dog is too badly damaged to ever be socialised with other dogs I know I have one Not all problems are fixable even with the best of intentions
  19. The first port of call for a dog with issues that comes from a rescue or breeder is to contact them first I hope HAR are able to put you in touch with the trainer they know If not send me a PM and I can give you a number to call
  20. Sending healing vibes to Grover I hope you can get to the bottom of this and he is fine
  21. Have you contacted HAR about this? I am sure they would point you in the right direction with a trainer they work with He is a really good guy and will be very helpful
  22. Sorry I missed this thread Trish I hope Grover makes a full recovery
  23. Selling a dog for more due to its colour helps promote that colour as being rare and as others have said, makes Jo Blow BYB in training think he can make money selling dogs If breeders are doing this what hope has anyone got on educating everyone else that profiting on colour is wrong Set an example please
