  1. thanks :) I really wasn't sure about this schedule the vet sent, it seemed like a bit much, so figured I'd ask :)
  2. OK thank you Lisa, I'll stick to the breeders schedule with the immunisation :) With the heartworm, its a two shot course when they're young the vet also said that, but she said most people wait until the dog is 12months old then get the yearly heartworm. I guess I'll just wait until she's 12months because I don't have any issues with giving it to her or keeping it up monthly.
  3. When I got my pup we we're given an immunisation schedule with dates for flea, worming and immunisation she's had her first two already with the latest one being on 10/8 and the final puppy booster due on the 10/9, we just got a letter from the vet saying the 30/8 is her next due shot so 20 days since her 2nd booster, is it safe to get the last c5 booster then? or wait until the the breeders scheduled date comes around? Also would you do the sr12(heartworm shots) now or just keep giving chews until the pup is 12months? I'm a bit confused as her breeder happens to be vet nurse, and even with the fleaing my partner( used to work with animals also) said to not do it two weeks early as she's only a pup, and the only reason I wanted to do it early as her scratching and defleaing bites picked up, we think she got fleas from puppy preschool

    Puppy Exercise

wow some excellent things you guys do with your dogs, I've been trying to think of things to occupy mines mind that isn't just the boring old sit, stand, down heel etc training. I've used a cup upside down with kibble in it as a puzzle for her but she worked it out in less then 5mins lol so thank you for giving me other things to do with my pup
  5. I've had a german shepherd pup for the last 3 weeks, her breeder mentioned no stairs for at least 4months, so we're carrying her up and down, ours stairs are inside though and the only time she really needs to go up stairs is at bed time, so its only a once a day thing. I was considering basket or something for when she gets bigger and is more awkward to carry. Cheapest thing with hard floors, carpet offcuts, we're in a rental for the next 6-12months, and downstairs is all tiled and up stairs is polished wood, for less then the price of one big rug, I've been able to cover practically all over the floor downstairs and I the bonus is we don't have to stress out about rugs having accidents on them or the end being ripped, we're still teaching her not to but its not like its $180+ rugs getting wrecked. Not sure where in NSW you are but if your in Western Sydney shoot me a pm I'll give you a number/link for where I got our offcuts, it came up when I was looking for the cheapest rugs possible lol
