  2. Puppies are go! One male born about 11.25
  3. Other than bullmastiff(will always have) and Dobermann and papillon as I already have them. Afghan Samoyed Griffon Bruxellois German Shepherd Toy Poodle Alaskan Malamute Pug Newfoundland Chinese Crested(both types) Pomeranian Samoyed and Afghan are my top two picks, the others I dont have a preference. I have also been researching the Shiba, due to little grooming, smaller size and being in group 6.
  4. Thinking of Jed and her beloved dogs. Sweet dreams to the little angels lost
  5. Congrats on the litter Ashanali, a rainbow of colours to choose from, thats great! :D ;)
  6. Congratulations to those who have had there babies! Puppy breath is in the air! Only one week to go for one of my girls. Will post pics later on. Good luck Ashanali, I hope all goes well for you and Kayo. Will be checking in for updates
  7. I think I used Drontal last time. Pink stuff it was. Puppies hated it and spat most of it out. I used Troy with my first litter and the babies loved it.
  8. I just went an enquired with my vet and I was recommended to worm a week before whelping.
  9. Great! Thanks for the replies. I wont know myself only having to change once or twice a day, lol. Im expecting decent size litters so I guess I'll play it by ear. I guess I was just a bit worried about the size of the vet bed in the machine. The pieces are 1.5 x1.2 so Im guessing maybe a bit bigger than the pieces you both use as I have bullmastiffs. I guess I can only give it a go. Thanks again
  10. FOr my last two litters I have used blankets and towels in the whelping box and was forever changing them. This time I have ordered some vet bed. HOw often do you change it. Twice daily, once daily??? My friend has some of the same stuff Im buying and its really stiff. I imagine after lots of use/washing it would lose its stiffness, but whilst it is new and stiff does it get a proper clean in the washing machine? Thank
  11. Of course she walked behind the post just when I went to tak it, but I guess we are here to look at her belly not her head, lol.
  12. Heres some pics of Kalais at 7 weeks
  13. Well Ive just got back from 3 days away and Oh My God the girls have gotten soooo big in just those three days. Both are big fattys but omg Kijana is HUGE. I wouldnt be surprised if she popped out 25 of the little suckers. I can not get over the size of her and she is only 6 weeks along. Kalais is also rather big at 7 weeks and Im guessing between 7 and 10 for her. I dont know, maybe ive forgotten how big they get but I cant remember Keisha being this big and she had 8.
  14. Yay, Rumour, 9 babies!!! And 7 boys too, please send me some boy puppy dust......cant wait for photos!!! Congratulations!!!
  15. Congratulations Baileys mum. 8 puppies!!!! Thats a huge litter for such a little dog. Well done Brandy!! And no troubles either, thats awesome for you first litter...Huge Congats here!
  16. OMG Fifi, that had me in stitches....I can just imagine it....Did anyone get it on camera by any chance?,lol.
  17. Go Go Gidget, I just came in here to have a peek and I am so so sorry to read of your loss, how devestating, it brought tears to my eyes. My thoughts are with you at this heartbreaking time.
  18. Thank you Silvawillow, I'll keep you in mind and get back to you if we havent found anyone by then.
  19. I hope everyones beautiful girls are doing well. I know my two are. Im predicting Kijana is going to have a lot more than Kalais if size is anything to go by but the with Kalais being thicker set she just might be hiding it better. From now they will start to grow so fast, I'll post photos in another week. Im feeling more excited about it now I have made the decision to cut back on work hours. Most Bullmastiff breeders take the time off work as mums shouldnt be left with the bubs, so that means putting the babies on to feed every couple of hours, including through the night. I work evenigs so my OH was going to do the evening baby sitting until i got home at midnight. But I thought about it and Im going to be so tired trying to raise two litters and work 5-6 nights a week that I will cut back to 3 shifts. Im much more happier and looking more forward to it now. I was beginning to think "what the hell have i done" but alls good now, lol. I'll have mum come around during the day too to help me. She helped me bottle feed the girls and their siblings when they were babies and she is as excited as I am. Im lucky to have her help, cos I know Im going to need it,lol. Anyway I took these photos tonight. Here is Kalais at 6 weeks along And here is Kijana a week behind at 5 weeks
  20. I have 6 dogs atm but my biggest concern is my two entire bullmastiff girls. They are sisters and while they absolutely love eachother, they have had a few minor tiffs when younger and I am always conscious of the fact their friendship may not last. They are penned separately when Im not home or during the night even though they sleep together on their bed during the day or inside in the evenings, they clean each other and sleep curled up together. I feel it has worked so far because one is a very dominant bitch the other very submissive, however they are both due to have puppies a week apart and I am dreading that it might just upset their relationship. Hopefully not but Im prepared for it.
